Prints 1" wide blue streak from top to bottom of page

Tried replacing the blue ink cartridge but it still did it. Have been told it's a hardware problem (Printer head?)

If you're holding the paper so the narrow side is up, and the blue streak is vertical, then it's not a bad print head. If the stripe is from side to side with the paper held that way, then possible that the head is bad. The 4530 is an office type printer with large carts that connect to the print heads with hoses. It's possible that a hose has come off and is dumping ink that way, or that the hose is leaking...

Prints have streaks -F2210. printer not indicating ink finished. Have tried cleaning.

1. Power down the printer.
2. Pull the ink cartridges out and clean them with a paper towel/napkin and some isopropal or rubbing alcohol.
3. Replace the cartridges.
4. Power the printer up and run the head cleaning cycle again.

Test your prints. If they are still bad, you may have a bad formatter board. This would mean it is time to replace the printer.

I have a streak from top to bottom of page that is about a 16th of an inch wide that does not print. What part needs replaced and where do I purchase it?

Sounds like a printer head problem. Take it to a shop where they normally refill printer cartridge inks, and get them to service your printer head.

Epson C60 prints with ink marks on the page. I've tried cleaning it the best I can?

damil738 Streaking or spoting is usually caused by a bad ink cartridge or saturated waste ink pads (thats not common). You might try to remove the ink cartridges and with a paper towel dab around the the spikes that go into the cartridges (1 Black, 3 color) from the printer. Check the bottom of the cartridges for excess ink. If there is blockage go to Inkmizer.com, they have an excellant cleaning solution and directions to do it properly. Replace the ink cartridges no matter what you do. In most cases that solves the problem without doing anything else.

How to clean HP4100 TN laser printer? I am getting black streaks down side of page. . .ink is smeared.

There are 3 things to be checked. 1: toner cartridge, try replacing it with a new on. 2: Transfer roller w/c underneath the toner cartridgelying on the printer. Removed toner cartridge, you see a roller w/c is foam like outlook, wipe it with clean dry lint free cloth or paper towel. 3: Fuser unit w/c fuse the ink on the paper. It is lacoted at the back of the machine.Remove the bottom rear cover, just by pulling it. Then you will see 2 blue color lever on left & right, turn those levers up to unlock the fuser unit, then pull out the unit. taking a look in the inner part of the unit you will see rollers . Any bad coating or damage on the roller will create smears on the prints.

I put a new ink cartrige and printer prints low coulour tone.

A technique to improve print quality is to try and clean the cartridge nozzles. You may clean the cartridge by following the steps given below:
1. Go to the "Lexmark solution center." This can be done by clicking on "Start," go to "Programs" and Lexmark printer group. Click on the "Lexmark Solution center." Next click on the "Maintenance" Tab.  2. Select "Clean and Fix Horizontal streaks."  Click on "Print". This will produce a printed page.
The colors that you should see here are black, yellow, magenta (a reddish purple) and cyan (a dark sky blue). You should notice the diagonal lines above and below the solid horizontal lines. These diagonal lines should be solid from left to right with no gaps.
If there are gaps in the lines or the print diminishes across the page, you should run the "Clean Print Nozzle" page a couple more times to try and clear it up. If you still have gaps at the top and bottom, you should "wick" the cartridges by following the steps given below:
1. Please open the "Solution center" again and go to the "Maintenance" Tab.  2. Select "Install color/black cartridge" and remove the cartridge or cartridges from the printer.  3. Get a damp paper towel.  4. Set the ink cartridge right side up on the damp paper towel so that the ink nozzles are against the towel and hold the cartridge in this position for about 15 seconds.  5. Now wipe the print head (on the bottom where the ink comes out) across in one direction only (left to right) until it looks clean.  6. Next dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure that the ink is flowing.  7. Snap the cartridges back into the printer.  8. On your computer, select "Old Cartridge install."  9. Repeat the "Clean Nozzle Page" one more time. If this fails to address the problem the entire procedure may need repeating.

Printer prints a black streak down the reverse side

You have a build up of ink inside the printer. I had a Canon that did this. I had to take the ink & print head out, and tear a paper towel strip 1 " wide and 13" long or however long the paper towel is. I folded it in half down the length so it was 1/2x13. Then used a plastic strip to shove it under the part the print head sits in. Once I got the towel to the other side, I grabbed it with my hand. I removed the plastic strip used to shove the paper towel under. So now the paper towel sticks out both sides underneath the print head cradle. I gently pull the paper towel back and forth so the paper towel can clean off the ink build up. Hope this helps.

Streaks / Bands of broken print area

First with a clean soft cloth and a very small amt of alcohol clean off the underside of the printer carridge (the holder for the print heads) also where the print heads cleaning station is clean out any large masses of congealed link. Then remove the ink cartridge in question and with a pencil eraser gently rub the contacts and both the cartridge and the carridge replace the cartridge. Using the software tools for the printer clean and align the printheads ( if there is an option to do so). If this dosn't fix the problem try a different ink cartridge.
