What do you mean ...arcs from exhaust to metal roof?
You can't connect generator power to an electric service while the service is still live from the utillity company, only use one power source at a time unless your generator power can be syncronized with the power company service.
The house should already have a grounding rod connected in the electric service.

Leaking roof

You need to call a roofer to install some metal flashing pieces. That will create a metal channel for the water to flow down instead of through your roof. Look in the Yellow Pages of your local phone book.

Took my ev6010 generator out and put it back in but hooked up the starter motor to the ground not to the positive and now it wont start. I also changed the oil and coolant.

On the ev6010 Honda generator the posive starter wire is black and was accidently hooked up to the chassis ground wire. Then the start button was pushed and nothing happened. I corrected the wire hookup to the positive side but will not start still

My high efficiency furnace has water (possibly condensation) running down the air intake pvc pipe into the furnace and all over the burner, gas valve, and wiring.

First, check the drainline from the furnace. You have a 90% gas fired furnace. Where 80% furnace has 1 heat exchanger, yours has 2 heat exchangers. And the second heat exchanger will cool the exhaust enough, that it ends up below the dew point, and your furnace outlet/exhaust will condensate. This drain is probably stopped up. Now, I've installed and service many of these systems and I've only seen the piping at the roof you described once. And that was when the roofers replaced the roof, damaged the furnace flue pipe, and tried to repair it themselves. Normally, and this may not apply to yours, we tie in the exhaust/supply lines about 2-3 ft. above the furnace. Then 1 pipe goes through the roof. Thus 1 pipe is a kit that has an inner liner & outer pipe(2 pipes in 1). Now I'm not sure if this is a problem or normal for your system, but it may be worth looking into. You should be able to find it in the installation manual, or call a local parts house that sells your brand, or as your tech. And if it's just your drain, forget all about the piping I mentioned. Hope this helps!

Alarm won't work the roof door do not light on accord 1994

Check the dome light override switch lockated on the dome light itself, then check the fuse for "CTSY Lights" and finally, check the ground attachment by removing the lens cover of the dome (roof) light, an removing the plastic housing of the dome light by either removing a screw, or simply prying on the sides of the plastic housing, you should see a wire screwed into the roof metal.

On a 83 harley generator there is 2 posts one is a/ armature the other is f/ feild, what wire goes where?

The green wire goes to the Field and the two Tan wires go to the Armature. Make sure that you "polarize' the generator by momentarily arcing the positive battery terminal with the armature terminal of the generator with the generator and regulator on the bike and hooked up before starting the engine.

Good Luck

My 5700 watt 11 HP McCullough generator wont start. I'm getting good gas to the plug but no spark.

The spark coil is bad if you have no spark

Small engine repair. Part is expensive.

Have you checked spark for sure?
1) Spray WD-40 directly into carburetor
If machine has spark, it will fire
2) Is exhaust port clogged with carbon and dirt?
3) Get new spark plug
Pull out old spark plug
Put spark wire on plug
Hold spark plug wire with fingers
Put spark plug threads against metal opening where spark plug came out.
Metal to metal
Pull cord or push starter
Look for spark between metal

No spark, then spark coil is bad.

Breaker pops intermittently

It's the new 'arc fault' breaker. It's similar to a GFCI breaker only instead of monitoring current leaking for shock hazard, it looks for a arcing condition on the circuit. You can easily change this breaker out to a 'regular' circuit breaker and not sacrifice safety. Look at the panel and get the Mfg. name, like 'Square D' or ' Westinghouse', or what ever. Then go to Home Depot and get a matching amperage breaker, 20 for a 20, you know? Then turn the breaker off. Unhook the hot and the neutral wire from the breaker. Now, hook the white neutral wire to the 'neutral bus; where you see all the other white wires, pick an open hole and put it in. Tighten it up. Then put the new breaker (turn it off) in the slot where you take the arc fault breaker out. Hook the hot wire to the new breaker in. That's it!
