Question about Schwinn 420 Elliptical Trainer

The large central heavy disc

On right side, attached to right rail, the circular disc (?) rotates in an out, slightly off kilter. This is part of frame. It came assembled. How to fix?

Sounds like the axle is dislodged or the bearing is loose or missing.

Gear timming in line sander


The Matco is very similar to the IR-315 straight line sander as well as the Central Pneumatic Straight Line Sander sold by Harbor Freight-shown here: The Central Pneumatic became the focus of my attention when I realized it was not timed properly after re-assembly!

(3)Then carefully rotate each toward the back end precisely three teeth (to the right in this photo). It is important to note: Begin counting to the precise 3rd tooth once the first tooth is near top center in step (2). Thus, if after rotating the gears forward until they stop, you ideally want a tooth visible right at the top center. If the tooth is not at top center, move the gear(s) slightly toward the back until the very first tooth is now centered up: then begin counting to the 3rd tooth. If after rotating the gears forward until they stop, a tooth is NEARLY at top center: use it as your starting point and count to the third tooth (step 3). I recommend wiping the oil/ grease off of these two centered teeth and coating them with red majic marker.
(4) Reference next picture: Hover cursor near rotary air valve gear. The dotted gear lobe should be a 1 oclock, assuming 12 oclock is in line with the center of the body toward the knob end of unit. Note the piston gears are marked for the centered 3rd tooth. Note the two teeth on each side of the center valley(s) of the rail gears are highlighted as well.

Notice in the background that the center tooth is highligted (it is the fifth tooth from either end of that straight gear on the rack).Also reference the second photo after step (6):


(6) visually confirm all teeth are in perfect alignment for placing the rack upon the unit:

If correctly lined up, you will incur no resistance or offsetting. If rack does not simply "lie onto the gears", lift back off and re-check the alignment of each of the teeth and valleys. A slight movement of one of the piston gears is usually the cure.
(8) re-attach the rack retainer bars with at least 2 screws on each side before moving the unit.

(9) you should visually be able to see about 1-1/2" of rack movement from the unit by pushing the rack to its limits. A centered rack measures approx. 15/16" on both ends of unit to the center of the bolt in the rack.

Move seat as far back as possible. Seat rails have covers on them - slide them forward....the left one will only slide forward, cannot be removed. Between the two seat rails you will see two little battery cover mounting nuts. Use 6 mm T-handle hex key to remove the nuts. Move seat as far forward as possible and twist rear rail covers to left and right and then pull toward rear of car. Pull back/fold floor carpet under seat from front to back (carpet is perforated so you may have to really yank the first time). There are two more battery cover mounting nuts between rear seat rails. There is a battery cover with an air vent pull it slightly to right and then lift out. There is a vent hose attached to battery on left side -- pull it out. Unfasten & remove attachment nuts on left side (low). Remove the battery attachment once those nuts are off. Push battery to the left. Disconnect battery negative lead (right) (do not let it touch pos. lead on left). Remove cover from pos (red/left) terminal and disconnect lead.

Its a lock with an arrow circal round it near the battery icon


You phone has it's screen rotation locked so if you turn the phone on it's side the display does not automatically turn, great for reading in bed. My dewalt d27105 saw keeps blowing a fuse, could it be the module


These saws have a rather large amount of draw on a 15 amp breaker... they should be able to operate on a 15 amp breaker, however nothing else can share that breaker.... and if it is an outside plug (GFI) it will be even more likely to trip. If possible, use a 20 amp breaker...they can be found in the garage where central vacuum plugs in. If this isn't an option then ensure nothing else is on a normal 15 amp breaker, use a heavy gauge extension cord, and the shorter the cord the better.

Difficulty locating my Benz R350 Batteries


In the 2006, the battery is under the front passenger seat.

To get to it is complicated -- from manual:

The corrector tape won't 'rise' to enable correction?


If your IBM is a Selectric (golf ball) typewriter AND you are mechanically inclined, you may be able to adjust the correction torque bar motion. This will increase the movement of the latches (lift and feed) on the carrier. To do this you must be careful not to knock the rotate and tilt tapes off of their pulleys. Turn on the machine and move the carrier to the left, Depress the SHIFT LOCK, turn machine OFF. Look inside the machine and locate the carrier front rail (just behind the keyboard). Towards the lower edge of that rail is the correction torque bar that extends from the left side of the machine to the right. This torque bar transfers motion from the correction mechanism to the carrier. If you manually rotate the torque bar (bottom-towards-rear), machine ON, and hit a couple of keys, and the correction tape lifts and feeds properly, you may make the following adjustment. TURN MACHINE OFF.
On the right side, attached to the torque bar, locate the link that is attached to it and travels toward the rear of the machine(by the RH black plastic shaft cover). At the back end of this link is an adjustable clevis. To adjust, hold onto the link (with hemostatsor tweesers), insert a flat blade screwdriver into the clevis and spread slightly, until you can disengage it from the hole in the lever., screw the clevis (probably about 4 to 8 complete revolutions, counterclockwise, as viewed from front of machine). Install the clevis back on to the lever and test. GOOD LUCK!

Slight knocking from off side front ,ive checked all bushes but cant find problem any ideas?

my only sugggestion is try focusing on the left front side of the vehicle instead of looking in the bushes.
now that joke session is over i would raise the car and place it securely on jackstands so both front wheels are off the ground and then put the car in gear.
go to the front and watch the wheels going around look for anything out of kilter.
if it is clicking sound and normally heard in turns then it is likely a bad cv joint.
if it is not i would pay particular attention to the tires looking for a bump on the treadwall of the tire or plys separating metal wires sticking out or a large screw head sticking out/embedded in the treadwall. also check that the sway bar is attached and that the pins where it attaches to the control arm are in good condition.
then check your tie rod ends for play or looseness

Cassette door stuck closed


Firstly: do not think about forcing the cassette door! Look inside the unit. You need to hand rotate the capstan flywheel a bit,( a large-ish metal disc attached to the motor via a rubber drive belt.)That should release the powered deck mechanism and allow ejection. Then buy a new drive belt , so that problem does not recurr. Good Luck
