Unless you are highly skilled it may be best to send it for a CLA. The following video will provide you what it will take to disassemble this lens. Also, do you have the required tools?

My 24-105mm lens doesn't focus anymore. Neither auto focus or manual focus works. When I twist the focus ring nothing happens. I can't afford repair is this something I can fix?

I don't believe you can FIX it. Repairing cameras and lens is a quite specialized profession. Probably you can take it to repair but you say you can't afford.
So depending on your camera, you might sell it

I cant view the picture clearly while shooting and playback too.i was on a picnic 2wks back, and was taking pictures with my canon SD550 POWERSHOT CAMERA.. all of a sudden the display in the screen blurred...

There is a focuing ring with electromagnets on it, and it swivels to focus. When sand, dirt, lint, or dust works its way into the lens assembly, it can get stuck, failing to focus.
Spray some compressed air into the lens area to try to dislodge it. Then bump it gently if the compressed air doesn't work. Here is a list of things you can try for a jammed lens:
http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
If these don't work, your focus ring is jammed and you will have to fix it or have it serviced. Get an estimate first, since the cost of repair often justifies buying a new camera.
Good luck, these tips might help you.

Hello. We have a old style Kodak Carousel 600 that will not focus anymore. You can turn the dial and it just does nothing. This used to be my grandparents and was given to me, so I would like to fix it....

The KODAK Carousel 600 was manufactured from roughly 1964 to 1972.
The problem you are describing is most likely the gear on the focus shaft (the shaft you turn when you turn the focus knob) has cracked and no longer interfaces with the gear on the slide of the projection lens. The focus shaft can be replaced, but needs the attention of a factory-trained technician. Look for an Authorized Repair Dealer in your area.

Focus error? The camera won't focus. Focus Error is displayed in the viewing screen. Zoom action & everything else seems to work fine. Won't focus, won't take pictures.

This is a known issue with Fuji S3000 cameras caused by dust and dirt that get in through the loosely mounted lens mechanism, there are only three solutions.

  1. If under warranty you can send the camera in for repair.
  2. Saturate around the lens with WD40 and wiggle the lens until it becomes responsive again every month or so.
  3. Dismantle the camera and clean out around the internal gear-box and lens components about once a year.

Need exploded view of drivers side front cornering lamp.

Go to AutoPartsPeople.com or a similar parts website and search for the lens assembly. Click on the "view illustration" tab to see an exploded view. You can also Google a repair manual for your car and download the appropriate material for free.

My wide zoom lens for my D200 will not auto focus..

Mine occasionally does this as well, but only when trying to focus on the left side of my viewfinder. I found there is a piece of dust on the sensor in just the right quadrant that prevents it from focusing. Try setting your focus settings so that you can press the left or right buttons to select the focusing quadrant (left, middle, or right). If that fails, you can always manually focus.

Sony CCD-TR805E Auto focus and manual focus...

I have to send you its exploded view in pictures because its bit old model like 1996 and at that time service manuals were in paper form not in pdf format.
Here I can post up to 150k size picture which would be not good enough to see details.
And I have to scan concern pages to make pictures to send you through email.
Now its your turn to let me know are you ready to proceed...:)

DSC-T7 Magnify Mode

Hello, Don't mix magnifier mode and expanded focus mode. Magnifier mode is simply a short AF range operating mode, like a kinda super-macro. Whether you selected mag/macro/normal, the camera operates always same except that the focussing range limits are changed accordingly by the S/W. The lens itself is capable of focussing from 1cm to infinity anyway. Expanded focus is used on some still and video cameras to assit manual focus because the LCD's resolution is lower than the CCD's. It can be seen as a workaround for the lack of optical reflex viewfinder (Sony cams ar not dSLRs, including HDR-FX1!). So the center area of the pic is "digitally zoomed" to make sure you can adjust a sharp focus of the point of interest in your frame. However it has nothing to do with macro shooting, and works at any distance within the lenses focussing range. Hope having helped
