What is the brand name to the remote you have? If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

Chances are that you won't need a new remote. Universal remotes often have a code-search feature in case the codes provided don't work. I suggest looking in the instructions (if you have them) for a "code search." The 5.3IR dish remote does not work. I changed

You will need to readdress the remote to the receiver. I have provided a linkwith instructions on how to readdress the remote to the receiver. Select yourreceiver type and this will open a PDF document with the instructions. If thisdoesn't resolve the issue, you may need a new remote. I hope this helps.

I have provided a link with instructions on how to program your remote to your TV. You will select your receiver from the list of instructions for the receivers. You will also need to select the link with the TV codes. You only need to follow the directions to get your remote to work on your TV. If this doesn't work, you may need a new remote. I hope this helps.
