You have to press the volume up and volume down ,hold it together and keep on holding it until a menu.
Another menu will come up ,Now you can now hold the scroll button,then you can slide it to proceed to reset your tablet.

If you don't want to reformat your system, I think you have to make a rest disk or use some tool to do all the job for you. Such as Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0. Burn a boot CD with the program, and insert it into the problem computer and your password will be reset to "Blank".

While it's turned off you hold the volume up and power buttons. Then when the android appears release the buttons. Hold the power button and press volume up. Navigate with the volume keys and select factory data reset. Hopefully this isn't the method you'd already tried.
