Use it about once a year to clean off patio. Worked for about 30 mins now won't start.

No tripped circuits or fuses - all checked. Left and tried again 15mins later and motor started for few seconds then went off again. this happened 3 times now. In between no sound at all from machine when it's on.

May be too late for original person, but for others that get to this page.. I just took my Craftsman apart. Only way I could get motor to run was to remove pressure switch from its housing (defeat the function). It's located right after the pump and I guess is meant to turn motor off when pressure builds up (you release trigger) so you don't over-pressurize the system. I haven't completely fixed it, but now I know where the issue is. Looks like the valve that pushes down on the switch is faulty (stuck in down position)

Check to make sure that power is reaching the motor - from your description it appears that there is a break in the power line or that the on/off switch may be defective.

Alarm conditions during operation of the dryer

The LEDs begin to flash if one of the following malfunctions occurs:
  • NTC open (the LEDs flash in sequence from right to left)
  • NTC short-circuited (the LEDs flash in sequence from right to left)
  • If the START button is pressed for more than 20 seconds while a cycle is in operation all the LEDs flash.

If the error is eliminated, the dryer returns to normal operation when the programme selector knob is turned to RESET and the drying cycle is re-selected.

Hi. Hope someone can help my whirlpool front loader dryer 3LER5436EQ1 stops after ten min an trips the switch then after a few min you can restart it. We've cleaned out all fluff an tested the fuses not...

the motor is overheating and when it cools you can restart it,you waited to long to clean it out.a dryer should be pulled apart and cleaned out at least once every year if it's gas and once every 18 months if it's electric or this happens or you'll pop one of the fuses in the dryer as a safety so you don't have a fire.most likely it's the motor there isn't any resetable fuses on this dryer

I have a brand new KitchenAid mixer that is 5 years old and never used. I unpacked it this morning and it won't turn on, no noise, no movement, nothing. Help.

Please check manually the motor and see if it moves freely. Now make sure that the power plug and the connections to the switch are not tampered , check the continuity of the plug to the switch and to the motors.
If you notice any dirt or insects make sure that this has not clogged on the motor. If so clean using a degreasing spray- WD40- would be recommended.
If the motor is tight , lightly oil or degrease using the spray while manually rotating.
Once this is done connect the power while taking all precaution. Use the meter to check the flow of the circuit to the switch and to the motor. If there is a trip switch see that it is reset.
If there is power to the motor and still it does not work the brushes might be dirty and might need a cleaning/ reset.

My heater is one year old but this year every time I plug it in it trips the fuse after running for approximately 30 - 40 mins.

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.
I will assume, your heater is around 1100 to 1500 watts. For example if it is 1500 watts, you cant really share the heater with a TV or stereo on the same circuit.

Feel the cord, and if it feels warm..you have to much on the circuit...If you live in a real old home, they where not made to handle the big of a heater.

and it may take 30 to 40 min to trip the fuse

I tried to help you. Please help me and Rate/Vote on my response. We take the time to answer your question. take the time to rate us.Thanks and good luck

Hoover HDC7FM condensor dryer starts then cuts out

Open the dryer door (right after the breaker trips) and check for a burned smell. If it smells in the dryer, you probably have a direct short in the dryer wiring. Check for a burn smell at the wall socket. There may be a short in the socket itself, but not likely unless a mouse is lying across the contacts in the wall.
If everything checks ok replace the circuit breaker if this is an older home. Circuit breakers weaken after years of use. A 30 amp circuit breaker will trip at a much lower amperage after a period of years especially if it has tripped often.

Zanussi ZWD1680W Front Load All-in-One... Problem:

With the symptoms you describe i would suspect a intermittent heater element fault as you are getting earth leakage current which is tripping the whole supply rather than a current overload which would just trip the socket circuit breaker. Get the heating element checked over first as this is the most likely cause.
