Google search your manufacturer make, model and the word manual. If one is available, it will show up in the search results and you can download it from there.

Just bought new dehumidifier but by mistake carried it on its side for 30 mins.can it now be damaged ?

I would be surprised if the query is not dealt with in the instruction book or there isn't a helpline number or other contact details.

My dehumidifier works like a low-powered refrigerator and contains a compressor/motor unit, a fair amount of pipework, a condenser and an evaporator and a fairly substantial fan.
Just like a fridge or freezer best practice is to transport these things in an upright position. This is something lots of people know but few know why this is desirable.

The motor/compressor unit contains oil and it relies on gravity to keep it where it will do most good. Transporting in any position other than vertical allows the oil to run out into the pipework depriving the hard-working unit of much-needed lubrication should it be switched on too soon after being moved. There are probably other problems caused too.

Allowing it to stand vertically for 6 or 8 hours before switching on after transportation should be sufficient to allow the majority of the lubricating oil to find its way back to where it is supposed to be.

Shows change filter where is it located?

Hello Ann, this is JK. I understand that you are looking for the location of the filter in a dehumidifier. Generally, you will need to remove the bucket to be able to reach under to remove the filter. Please refer to your owner's manual for more detailed care and cleaning instructions. Hope this helps!

The dehumidifier keeps leaking water out the bottom of the unit. I checked the bucket and it does not have a crack/leak. It appears the water is seeping out into the back of the unit and only half the...

Check to make sure your drain hose connector plug is properly fitted. If this is loose or missing, then some of the condensate will drain out onto the floor. See page 6 of the manual for detailed instructions and illustrations about the drain hose connector and the plug.

You can just run the unit at the stock settings initially and then after a day or two of operating, you can adjust the desired humidity level up or down if required. If you find that your coils are freezing up with ice, then the unit is running a little too much for the ambient conditions. You can always try adding a little heat to the room if necessary since a dehumidifier will not work well if the room is too cold.

Water draining onto floor not collecting in bucket. What could cause this?

Well, the first obvious thing to check is whether your collection bucket has a hole or a crack in it which is allowing the condensate to leak out onto the floor.

The other possibility is that you are missing your DRAIN CONNECTOR COVER which blocks up the drain hose connection on the side of the unit. This hose connection is used when you want to run the unit continuously with a drain hose attached and don't want to have to empty the bucket all the time. There shoud be a small screw in plug to cover this drain connector when not in use. See page 7 of the manual for detailed instructions and illustrations.

If your collection bucket is just overfilling and spilling onto the floor and the unit just keeps on running anyway, then you have a problem with the float level shut off switch which needs adjusting or replacement.
