Rarely is it the motor. Check power to the unit, Full 220? Otherwise it is in the safety management... The only way to resolve is to follow the power through the system. Switches, limiters, and mostly connection are suspect.

If you are not absolutely 100% comfortable working around 220 volts, do not attempt this surgery. A small mistake can kill you.

Whirlpooldryer LEN2000PW1 when you shut the door turn the dial you hear a clicking sound and doesnt tumble. Belts not broke and you can turn motor manuelly.

This is a symptom of a blown thermal fuse located on the blower housing. It is wired in series with the motor and therefore cuts power to the motor when it blows and results in the motor not running. No dryer function works when the motor is not running. Remove the rear access panel and locate the thermal fuse. Replace it if found blown open including the cycling thermostat. Dryer will not start when pushing start button it just clicks once

This sounds like a problem with the thermal fuse blown which is wired in series with the motor. Power to the motor is terminated when the thermal fuse blows and the motor cannot run. No dryer function works when the motor cannot run. Click on the link below for the detailed instructions in troubleshooting this kind of Whirlpool Duet or Kenmore Elite dryer problem.

Did you resolve the issue with the Kenmore Elite H3 Dreyer of just beeping and not turning on? I can be reached at the email below - Thanks - It lights up and just a beep and a clickng noise when you hit...

There's a thermal fuse located on the blower housing that blows when the vents and ducts are clogged or when the thermistor, also on the blower housing, fails. This thermal fuse is wired in series with the motor and if blown, power to the motor is terminated causing it no to run. The motor activates the heating circuit through the motor centrifugal switch only when the motor runs. No dryer function works then when the motor cannot run.

Access then bypass the thermal fuse and if the dryer runs, the thermal fuse is indeed blown. Make sure the vents and ducts are clear then replace the thermal fuse including the thermistor to address the problem. Do not use the dryer with the thermal fuse blown due to fire hazards. My Kenmore Dryer will not start. We replaced the Receptacle but it still will not start.

Make sure the dryer is getting power by checking the breakers. The dryer usually has a drum lamp that turns on only when the door is open. Power is indeed getting power if the lamp turns on. If not, either the lamp is busted, the door switch is not working, or the dryer is not getting power at all.

The problem is likely a blown thermal fuse if the dryer is getting power. This thermal fuse is wired in series with the motor and if it blows, power to the motor is terminated and the motor cannot run. No dryer function works when the motor cannot run. Click on the link below for the detailed procedure in checking for such condition.

My dryer won't turn on it works great but suddenly I can't turn it on. When I push the button to start there is nothing.

The dryer functions are all impaired if the motor doesn't run. The heating circuit is activated only when the motor runs because power to the heating element is routed through the motor centrifugal switch. The problem here is likely a blown thermal fuse because power to the motor is routed to it. The motor cannot therefore run if the thermal fuse is blown.

Disconnect power then access and bypass the thermal fuse on the blower housing. The blower housing is located on the front left bottom of the dryer cabinet if the dryer has the lint filter on the front or at the rear left bottom if the lint filter is located on the top of the cabinet.

Duet dryer doesn't run. control panel lights up. push on button and all you hear is a click. what do i do?

No dryer function works when the motor cannot run and the common issue is a blown thermal fuse located on the blower housing and wired in series with the motor. There will be no power to the motor when the thermal fuse blows and the motor cannot therefore run. Bypass the thermal fuse and if the motor runs, the thermal use is indeed blown and needs to be replaced. Do not use the dryer with the thermal fuse blown due to fire hazards.

Disconnect power then open the dryer door and remove the lint filter. Remove the screws from the toe panel and remove the panel. Remove the screws securing the lint duct and remove the duct.

The thermal fuse can now be bypassed or replaced if necessary.

Bypass the thermal fuse by disconnecting the wires and taping them together or jumping a wire between them. Once done, plug the dryer in then start it. The thermal fuse is indeed blown and needs to be replaced if the dryer runs. The thermal fuse is part number 3390719. Reassemble the dryer in reverse order of the disassembly steps.

Sounds like the motor shorted. Pull it apart and look for burnt wires and/or a burnt motor. The motor itself will smell burnt if it is.
