Your model number is not complete, I think it should have a J added to the front. If I'm correct on that guess your bake element is part # WB44X5082 and should retail around $35.00 give or take a few dollars. Unplug range or shut off breaker first, Remove 2 screws, 1 on each side of the metal plate at back wall. Pull old element forward gently. There will be 2 wires attached to the element terminals either with 2 more screws or they may just push on depending on which model you have. Remove wires but make sure they don't go back into the cutout. Install wires onto new element and remount to oven wall with the first 2 screws. If wires somehow get lost back in that hole you will need to pull out range to get to the back cover plate and the wires. Not hard at all if you are somewhat handy. Make sure screws are tight if they hold on the wires.

Usually when the element fails to heat up, It means its usually broke, cracked, or where they plug in gets brittle and breaks. Your best bet is to replace the bottom element.

Burners are working oven is not working ?

The heating element may be burnt out, you will need to replace this element if it does not heat up when the oven is turned on, try turning the oven to broil if the top element heat up then indeed it is the bottom element and need replacing.

Kenmore electrical oven

Trying to better define the problem....

Do you have any cuts, holes or "shorting" or tin-foil/aluminum around your bottom bake heat-element? If so, you may need to replace the baking Heat Element. (Ensure you do not use aluminum foil around your heat element to prevent your oven from getting dirty)

To replace your baking heat element, with power off; remove 2 screws securing the bake element. Slightly tug and pull towards you for about 3 inches or so and disconnect the connecting wires at each end. Then completely remove the heat element and install new in reverse manner. Whats' you're model number?
