Question about Singer Sewing Machines
Https://archive.org/details/Singer_518k_538k_servicing_instructions has the service manual. There is quite a clear diagram of the inside with the top removed on page 10 showing two springs in position. Hopefully your needle position spring is one of these.

Turn the big knob on the right of your Singer 1507 machine so that the vertical stitch line in the center. (Currently your machine most likely has the vertical stitch line to the left.) Don't push your needle manually; you will damage the needle.

you might want to take the machine in & have it checked at a sewing machine shop

i looked up the manual and didn't see anything about needle position. Here's a copy so you can read at your leisure.

if the sewing machine is set on the buttonhole setting then it's
possible that the sewing machine motherboard has a problem.
or a part could be damaged, the machine may need some type
