SOURCE: Speaker outputs blown on 4 channel amp

the outputs should be replaced in pairs, there are 2 to 4 pairs, but you sould only need 1 pair replaced. these transistors typically range between 10 to 30 cdn each + labour, look for 1 to 1.5h to replace & test the unit after repair. check your local repair shop for their rates. good luck

Swap the wires from one speaker to the other to see if it is the speaker or the Amp/wires.

Sounds like you shorted out the main power wire somewhere and killed the amp. Is the amp on the fuse intact or blown? Do you have 12 volts at the amp? check you connections and see if it helps.

SOURCE: can a 1000 watt amp run 800 rms subs and best wiring option

yeah it will run them but you won't get your full power because the rms for your subs is high. try bridging them with some 8 gauge wire, and of you got a crossover it will help you out alot

Afraid you may have blown an amplifier. If you have a AC voltmeter, audio generator and schematic, you can feed audio signal into unit and track the signal on both channels during amplification stages.and locate the spot where the amplification stops or one channel deviates from the other. And there is your culprit.

That sounds like an interesting piece of equipment. If the fuse is not blown it probably is an output transistor. Take it to a service shop.

If you are certain speaker isnt blown and you have correct phase wiring and so forth you have whats called a solder jump which is internal repair by dealer only! buy a new amp at dealer wholesale price here cheaper than having it repaired unless under warranty go here for wholesale pricing on almost everything audio wise:
