If it starts (maybe idles) but then dies when giving it gas it sure looks like its a carb problem , most likely dirt in the high speed jet , but could be a dirty fuel filter as well and that's inside the fuel tank

all chain saw fuel filters are in the tank. find something to fish it out so you can grab and change fuel pick up

Vacuum or incorrect air fuel ratio .also if you moved the butterfly inside the throttle body you will need a throttle position sensor .

2000 chevy monte carlo when trying to crank it won't stay. the alternator has been checked, the starter, and battery, please help.


Wont stay?? cranking or running? Assuming it cranks but wont stay running I would be suspect of a Crankshaft Position Sensor

Check your security light on the dash and see if it stays on or blinks with the key in on position. If so google how to reset the security.

This is fuel starvation, if not already done replace the fuel filter in the tank, if no better remove the carb and check the fuel screen under the pump cover ( the cover held with a single central screw ) if ok, remove the carb plate, behind here you will find the rubber induction tube , check this has not split, just below the induction tube is the impulse tube seal, check this has not split.
