What is the brand name to your TV? These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. Fujitsu asta18lcc has a constantly fast flashing green light and the red light flashes slower 5 times with a small gap between each 5 flashes. Unit wont work at all apart from lights.
The red light (operation) flashing 5 times can be one of four things depending on the green light (timer) but the green light should flash at the same rate as the red light, not faster - either 2,3,5 or 6 times. Anything other than these is abnormal and you will need a tech to diagnose.
Could be a faulty controller board or compressor.

Hi,
Red light flashing on tv indicates that tv got some problem and shifted to protection mode to avoid further damage.
If Lamp light is flashing on tv then check lamp that would be dead or broke, replace lamp to solve tv problem.
If standby red light is flashing on tv then let me know how many times it is flashing after 3 seconds long pause to provide you helpful info.
