Can be transformer . which produces 24 to 26 volts for the contactor. can be as simple as batteries needed in the thermostat

Look at the contactor on the condensing unit, remove the low voltage wires to the contactor and turn on the system. If the low voltage fuse doesn't blow, replace the contactor.

It sounds like a bad board or a slightly different version,perhaps another model or something.You also sound like the most knowledgable person I have dealt with on this site in my brief 3 months so this should be fairly quick and easy on both part's behalf.It definitely sounds like the fan control's operation circuit or components involved.If it was cycled automatically every 4 hours,regardless of the system being on at that particular time,I would definitely say the board.Although this doesn't sound like the way your's works and you have good knowledge,if it is cycled when the unit is on,there may be a thermocouple to energize the fan relay on the board.I have central air.My thermostat has options for the fan ffor on,off,or auto.If yours has that also,check it.I am sorry about the last one.Although it does sound stupid,there are occassions where I have overlooked simple things like that if I haven't worked on something specifically in a long time.You may have also.I have worked on so many different things,it's the nature of the beast in my opinion.You know the routine too.If none of this works or applies to your situation,call them about your board.Good lick sir,Greg

Dear Friend! Er means Powerwas lost or voltage is low.
Do you believe if volt meter shows correct volts, it's perfect? No, even loose contact of neutral,burnt wire, it shows correct volts in that point.
Simple way to check the power is alright or not, just remove the a/c plug and connect any other device like electric racer, table fan, blower or iron box which work same volts as a/c. If other devices work, your power is o.k Or check for loose contact in your electrical wiring. Thanks.

How to test an LCD TV or monitor PSU and inverter


Hi.

Before proceeding I assume you have technical training along with the multimeter. A full testing must be done with power on, and for safety reason must not be done by an untrained user.

The tip contains only general indications. The reader is supposed to have the training to apply in practice the testing method below.

If there is no power at all, then the responsible is almost always the PSU.

When there is no power, test AC in to PSU. If there is no AC in (read volts, or read ohms on power cable), that means that the power cord must be replaced.

If there is AC in, then test the PSU section near to AC input. You always find a resistor or a fuse in there . Check if it has blown.
After that you test the rest of PSU component. If there is no power at all , and problem is not power cord, it is often possible to spot at a glance a leaky or bulged capacitor.

If there is power, but the monitor stays in standby, then te PSU is forced to low voltage only by controller board. This happens when a fault had been detected.

In this case testing the PSU becomes more complicate. The technician must locate the control lines from controller board. This control lines operate at lower PSU voltage (often +5V), and turn on higher voltages on PSU board.

The inverter may use for example a +20V line from PSU. The +20V line is turned on by the controller board, closing a +5V control line to PSU. When PSU is in standby mode, the technician testing the PSU must bridge the +5V line with the PSU low +5V circuit, and test if the +20V line to the inverter gets turned on.

As explained this kind of test must not be done by the unexperienced user, as the chance to waste the unit beyond repair is high, and there are also many safety concerns.

After testing the PSU, next part to test will be the inverter board.

The inverter is tested reading DC voltage in from controller board, and AC out to back light system.
The inverter is an high voltage board, remember, safety first when testing AC circuit.

If the inverter has no DC from controller, then test PSU, if PSU is OK, and inverter has still no DC in when PSU line to inverter is on, then replace controller board.
If the inverter has DC in, and no AC out, then replace the inverter.
If the inverter has DC in and AC out when higher DC voltage to inverter is turned on, then test at component level the main controller board, and if present test LCD controller.

Code 24 on carrier weathermaker 8000ts


Turn power off to unit. Open air handler and take a picture of the low voltage (tstat) wires and where they are landed. Remove all thermostat wires from control board. Then replace the 5 amp fuse that is likely on the board. Fuse likely looks like one for a car (blade style). Put a jumper (small piece of wire) from the R terminal to the G terminal and turn power back on to unit. This should bring on the indoor blower. Let me know how that goes!!

I have a herritage t101, it displays the Ls error and has no drive whatsoever but was working a few month back


The SCR lower board is designed with diagnostic LED lights. The LED's are color coded according to
their specific function. Green indicates a properly operating treadmill; the green lights should always
be ON when power is supplied to the treadmill. Yellow indicates a treadmill function. Red indicates a
treadmill malfunction. Here is a list of each LED and what it signifies:
MOTOR (yellow) - The MOTOR LED illuminates when dc (direct current) voltage is sent to the drive
motor. The LED gets brighter when the dc output is increased.
RLC (yellow) - The RLC (R = Reactance / L = Inductance / C = Capacitance) LED illuminates when
the filtering system is properly working. The filtering system includes the capacitor and filter choke. If
there is a short in either component then the RLC light will not come on.
DN & UP (yellow) - The DN and UP LED lights tell us if the elevation DN and UP relays are
functioning properly. When the LED lights, it tells us that the relay has energized and is sending high
voltage (110vac or 220vac) to the elevation motor.
AC PWR (green) - The AC PWR (Alternating Current Power) illuminates when AC line voltage is
delivered to the treadmill. It then passes through the in-line fuse (110)/s(220) and lights the AC PWR
LED.
+12V (green) - When the proper AC voltage is delivered to the treadmill, passes through the in-line
fuse/s, through the full wave bridge rectifier (changes AC to DC), through the transformer (steps down

Carrier ac light on board out


High voltage goes to board then to transformer. 24v comes out transformer into board. Check high voltage going to transformer if have votage but no low voltage out other side 24v then transformer is bad.

My Lexmark C544dn laser printer just up and died - I had just put in new paper, hit print on my Mac and when nothing happened, I realized the machine was off. Yes, I checked the power cord at the machine...


Please try to do the following steps

• Check the AC line voltage. Is the line voltage correct? If not connect it to the correct line voltage
• Check if the AC line cord damaged. If damaged replace the AC line cord
• Is the LVPS cable correctly connected at JLVPS1 on the controller board? If not Reconnect the cable at JLVPS1
• Turn the printer off, and then on. Does the problem persist?
• Damage to the printer is possible. Be careful to touch only one conductor at a time, Rest the probe against the connector to steady it.
• Replace the LVPS - Low-voltage power supply (LVPS)

I replaced my thermostat last night without


check for 24 volts ac at R & C terminals at the t-stat. Your transformer will have 4 wires hooked up to it. Two on one side and two on the other. Two of them will read either 120v or 240 v ac depending on whether you have a 120 or 240 v voltage. The other side should read 24 volts. If you are not reading 24 volts, then you have burnt the transformer and will need to replace it. If you are reading 24 volts, check to see if there a low voltage fuse located on the control circuit board or somewhere between the transformer and "R" terminal.
Here's a picture of a typical low voltage transformer found in an A/C system:


If you replace the transformer, add a 5 amp fuse on one of the 24 volt leads......this will save you from having to replace another transformer in the event of future "short" in the low voltage circuit.

Hi there,

Well most likely its a low voltage problem, check power outlet (110/220) or you need to replace the low voltage power supply board. Before replacing the power supply board you must check that the voltage is 24V by using a volt meter.

My laser printer gives message open heat error how can I fix


This is most commonly caused by a failure of the Fuser unit.
However, in rare circumstances, this can be caused by the Fuser Control section of the SMPS, or the fuser temperature monitoring circuit on the Main Board.
There is a closed control loop:
1. AC voltage is supplied to the Heat Lamp in the Fuser from the Fuser Control section of the SMPS
2. The temperature of the fuser heat is monitored by a thermistor (mounted on the Fuser) connected to the Main Board.
3. The Main Board determines if the fuser temp is too low, correct, or too high and signals the Fuser Control to increase, maintain, or decrease the AC voltage to the Fuser
sorry io say but you had to replace the fuser
call dell costumer support and tell your model no. ask for fuser replacement and they will do it .
Hope your printer is in guarantee period otherwise you had to pay.
