Sounds like you need a new one. A smoking electric motor is usually fried.
Those electric mowers do not last a long time as they are under a lot of stress when cutting tall and wet grass.

A little more info is needed.

Compression test: a simple way is to hold the pull cord like you are going to start the saw. A strong motor with good compression tends to either stay in place or slowly fall as the piston moves. If the saw just falls down the motor is worn.

But compression increases as a motor warms up so I don't think this is your problem. If it was the saw would be very difficult to start like my dad's old Stihl 041 Farm Boss from the early 1970s.

20 minutes is a long time to run without a problem.

Consider cleaning the carburetor (or a small can of goof off) with carb cleaner - but don't get it on plastic or rubber parts only metal.

Smoke: How much smoke is there? If there is no smoke the mixture might not have enough oil causing the motor to overheat. Also, many small engines recommend regular not premium gas.

My electric lawnmower sometimes does not start, just humms. Then I TURN IT OVER, AND TURN THE BLADE A LITTLE BIT. the blade feels hard at first but soon feels loose. then it wil start as normal

The lawnmowers electric motor has a bad spot on the armature. You need to replace the electrical brushes that contact the motor. If you are lucky you may just need to clean them and reinsert them in to brush holders.

Have a craftsman 10 inch table saw model #137.218250, serial #RCW3145. When we attempt to cut plywood or a 2X4 length ways, the motor dies a number of times. Most of the time the reset button will not...

sounds like the reset button needs replaced. Also when is the last time you cleaned the motor area?? When you reset the button is the motor "hot" to the touch and if so could also be a motor problem,, try the reset first

Remington Polesaw 10" motor is smoking?

Sounds like either the motor is going or that you need a new chain. Is the chain old and dull and is it difficult to cut wood? If so I would try running the saw without cutting and see if the motor smokes. If so the motor may be on it's way out. If you smell an electrical motor winding smell, it's probably time for a new chain saw. I don't know that I would get a new motor for yours as it probably at least $50 and you might want to consider going to another brand like Poulan. Hope this helps!

I have 12 amp Homelite electric lawnmower that I was cutting the lawn. It started to smoke then stop working. Is it worth fixing.

Probably not it sounds as if the motor burned up. By the time you get a motor and install it for either a little more or less money you can purchase a brand new one with a warranty. Hope this helps.

well the running rough part sounds like a fuel pressure regulator..and as far as the smoke goes there could be a puddle of it somewhere on the motor so it spills a little at a time causeing it to smoke for a while or your oil filter could be loose and that would cause it to leak so maybie ckeck your once in a while to see if it loses oil or anything like that.

Air conditioner keeps tripping breaker replaced the termostat do you think the compressor is gone its only 6 years old.

Every air conditioner has a motor called a compressor. The compressor provides the cooling capacity for the air conditioner. If the compressor or its electrical controls are defective the compressor may try to start, fail, and create an electrical overload. If the unit does create an overload, every compressor circuit is also equipped with an overload safety switch. The safety switch is designed to protect the compressor from burning out. The safety switch will cut the power to the compressor for a certain length of time and then reset itself. When it resets it will allow the electricity to flow to the compressor once again. If the compressor then starts, the unit should function normally. If the compressor doesn't start when the overload resets, the overload will again cut the electricity to the compressor. This cycle will continue indefinitely. (Always allow three to five minutes before restarting the compressor.) If this situation is occurring, unplug the air conditioner and get help from a qualified repair technician. This problem is often fatal to the air conditioner because the cost of repair often exceeds the price of a new air conditioner.

if this helps please vote me a fix ya
