Ice Maker not making ice cubes model # FRS26FCDW1

Remove the cover on the front of the ice maker and you will see a large gear with a Phillips screw in the center. Use a screw driver (phillips) and rotate it clockwise. It will start to rotate on its own and should make a revolution and fill with water. If it does replace the ice maker. If it makes a revolution and doesn't fill with water, make sure the fill tube is not frozen, and if it is not frozen. advance it again and determine if power is getting to the valves.

My ice maker won't come out.

When I serviced these units I had to take the freezer door off to access the ice maker. There are two screws in the front of the icemaker and 2 tong and groves which hold the icemaker to the freezer celling. These tong and grooves in the back on the ice maker right and left corners.

Once the ice maker is free, you will need a small flat head screw driver to wedge into the icemaker connector to disconnect the wiring.

If you are 100% sure your problem is the ice maker assembly, you may want to consider purchasing the new assembly before starting this task. This way you can inspect the top to the icemaker for mounting.

The two screws are either hex or Phillips heads. If it is a hex head you need to make sure the 1/4" hex head can fit into the recess where the screws are located. Some 1/4" hex head drivers are too large in outside diameter.

Before you condemned the ice maker have you considered:

1.) There is a square red reset in the front center bottom.

2.) I assume since you have defrosted the freezer there is not a ice cube jamming the ice maker.

3.) And since you defrosted the freezer you do not have a frozen fill tube.

Last thing; press the red reset button. If the ice maker cycles but does not fill, then you have a water supply problem. This could be a kink in the water line, water shut off valve could be bad restricting 50-60 PSI required pressure, or a bad water solenoid valve. Check the solenoid valve for continunity with your Ohm meter.

How to replace fan 3 speed switch in hampton bay ceiling light

Remove the switch housing from the fan with a Phillips screwdriver. Depending on the model, there are either two attaching screws on the base of the switch housing, or three screws around the upper rim of the housing. Once the screws have been removed, unscrew the brass finial surrounding the chain on the outside of the switch housing and pull the chain through to detach the housing from the fan.
Insert a thin flat headed screwdriver into the slot next to each wire; twist the screwdriver and pull the soldered ends of the wires out. If the wires are connected to the terminals with screws, undo the screw a few turns and pull the terminals out from under the screw heads. Undo the two screws holding the switch to the fan and remove it.
  • Take the old switch to the nearest electrical or home improvement outlet and buy an identical replacement part. If there are two similar switches and you're not sure which is the right one, describe the fan to a sales assistant and tell him how many operating speeds it's equipped with.

I have a GE Profile refrigerator, Model PFSS6PKWBSS, with icemaker on door. Water is collecting under Deli-draw and leaking down freezer door onto floor. How do I fix leak?

    Hi

Try and access the ice dispenser assembly and check from where the water is leaking. You would need to disassemble the ice dispenser and ice maker to check this. The ice dispenser is located in the upper portion of the freezer compartment. This assembly stores ice made by the icemaker and dispenses ice on demand from the door dispenser target switch.
    1. Remove the upper ice bucket tray.
    2. Slide out the ice dispenser assembly.
    3. Remove the ice cube solenoid linkage Phillips head screw and slide the linkage back.
    4. Remove the ice crusher cover Phillips head screws (2) and remove the cover.
    5. With a pair of pliers, twist off the backing plate tabs located on either side of the crusher.
    6. With 2 small flat-blade screwdrivers, unlock the ice crusher locking tabs located at either side of the ice crusher.
    7. Lift the ice crusher out of the bucket.
    8. Remove the ice crusher back cover.
    9. Remove the locking ring from the ice crusher auger.
    10. Remove the plastic nut with a pair of pliers by turning it clockwise.
    11. Remove the spacers and blades. The blades are numbered for reassembly.

    Icemaker--
The icemaker is located in the upper rear of the freezer compartment and supplies ice to the dispenser tub.
    1. Disconnect the icemaker cable connector.
    2. Remove 1/4-in. icemaker mounting screws and slide out the icemaker.
This refrigerator is equipped with an Electronic Icemaker.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.
