Had a problem once on a Ryobi string trimmer that was similar to yours , at first I thought it was a fuel flow problem , but it turned out that the throttle cable had stretched and wasn't right away obvious , so it was not allowing throttle to open all the way up (only halfway) , look at yours , the carb throttle needs to turn 90 degrees with trigger pressed

it needs to be further cleaned and new diaghrams,you should just buy a new carb on ebay,they are cheap and cheaper than cleaning and new diaghrams,ethanol is the problem,it eats rubber,if you can get ethanol free gas,get it for all small engines

If that doesn't work, you need an auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer to diagnose the electronics.

I have a echo 330 evl it ran good till i left it set 3 years it started easy wont rev got a rebuild kit soaked in carb cleaner all nite blew it out assembled it put gas in started still wont rev

air cleaner is clean? was rebuilt ? good spark plug? is there a air / fuel adjustment screw or a high / low idle screw on the side of carb. that may be out of adjustment? fuel lines are in good shape? (not cracked or broken sucking air in)?

You cleaned the carb; did you rebuild it? Did you put in new throttle springs and adjust the needle jet properly... the keeper ring placed on the correct groove? Did you put a new float in and then adjust the float travel properly? If you didn't do these things, then you aren't finished yet. All these things make a difference. If you need to put a new float in, be careful as the metal tab is easy to break off when bending it to correct specs.

Saw wont rev up or idle

First thing, try new gas.
If that doesn't do it, you need to adjust the low and high speed circuits on the carb. A good starting point is 1.5 turns out from fully seated. On that saw I'm not positive if you will have access to the adjustment screws unless you pull off the plastic caps that may be covering them.

Check cable that is not loose when you adjust power or check that there's nothing rapped around the blades could decrease the power it's supposed to give when blade is spinning

Throttle position sensor may not be working properly see if they replacedit where you had motor done.

I have a 1986 yamaha virago 700 that wont run properly

2 things need to be done first start your bike get a can of wd40 after your bike is warm and running spray around the carb jointsall 4 of them if your engine changes rpms up or down you have a intake leak ether your carb joint gaskets or o-rings need replacing or your carb joints are old and need replacing. at this point wont hurt to have you carbs cleaned also

Check that your fuel is getting through properly ,you may have a blocked jet .

My engine wont rev on kickdown 1989 corvette

your torque convrtoer is shot. it is the at the front of the tranny to transfer motion from fly wheel ( engine side) to the trans. its a fairly cheap and easy fix.
