Hi. Actually when you restore your system to its factory settings it will restore everything on your computer including the original operating system, but if you're saying that you have installed windows 7 on it then try going to ASUS driver support website, just type in their the model of your machine and it will ouput every software and drivers available for laptop and also different versions of operating system, So just choose the correct OS version for your laptop. Unfortunately you won't be able to power on your computer any other way. Your best bet is to get a DC jack from an online retailer like:

and then take that over to a qualified laptop tech for soldering.

Restore factory settings for a asus Eee PC 1005HA

It should have a hidden partition that contains the data for your OS, more or less press F9 while your computer is booting and look for something along the lines of Factory Default, or Factory Reset. or Reformat.

Another thing you could do is use an optical drive and a windows disc to re-install everything. But you might need an external disc drive for that :(

Hello.

Either you have an operating system problem or memory issue.

First, boot your system to Safe Mode (press F8 repeatedly when powering on). Go to System Restore and choose a date when your system worked OK. Note: with System Restore, all your updates will roll back to that date. Follow the process.

If still a problem, disconnect all cables. Be certain to dispel static electricity by touching metal. Remove the battery and memory cover. Try reseating (removing and reinserting) your memory (try one module at a time to test).

If still a problem, the last choices are Factory Restore and reinstall. Accessing Factory Restore (restores to the factory settings and will wipe out anything that you have installed or saved on your PC), is dependent on your hardware manufacturer. Boot your system and press F10, F11, Alt+F10, or Ctrl+F11 to access Factory Restore. Follow the prompts.

If still not resolved, you'll probably need to reinstall your operating system.
