How do i use my pny 8gb flash drive

You plug it in to a USB port on your PC. It may need to be partitioned and formatted. For example, if it is formatted for a Mac, if will need to be repatirioned to work on a PC. It all depends on what kind of device you are trying to plug it in to.

Can I use a 4G plug in connect USB with my Nexus 7?

(Using a WIFI Hotspot is definitely recommended. Connecting your 4G USB dongle to the Nexus 7 will drain the battery quickly since the USB is using the Nexus's battery to power on. This is what I use) but here's how to get your 4g usb dongle to work
Your device must be rooted, and you would need a USB OTG cable/adapter. Here's an example of an OTG USB cable -6c4749a3-0b72-4ebc-8cb6-60f7bfb77d23.jpgThis app should work on any nexus 7 and it is very simple just install the app and enter your apn of your operator connect your dongles via otg cable and it will work the app available on google play store called ppp widget here is the link it is for rooted device

Why can't I use my Solstice on my computer?

Computers do not understand phones just because they have a compatible plug. There has to be a driver loaded on the computer, that knows about your particular brand of phone. Each one is different.
Here is an example:

I have not used this site, so be careful. Many free downloads try to sell you stuff these days.

None of my usb ports work on my hp pavilion dv7-4051. in the device manager it says that a program or hardware issue is involved. it says that a file or something is missing, or corrupt. i dont know what...

dv7-4051 good clean full model # nice
but no OS stated, we can not GUESS THE OS
NO USB DEVICE STATED , at least say one of them.?
USB is ENDLESS topic, 1000's of devices made from 16 long years.

is it windows XP, the dead now, virus magnet?
it amazes me the vast posts where for windows.
there are 14 version of windows, back to day 1.

hell some even run FREEDOS , heck HP even ships them new like that. (free of MS invasions of privacy this, popular in EU regions.)

lucky you HP still has some support in this LT
some came with windows 7 32bit. in USA.

here is the page on my guess at OS. w7
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-dv7-4000-entertainment-notebook-pc-series/4149935/model/4230565

see that, see all those DRIVERS>
one is for USB (most times this is the base chips sets)
but if w7 is true, is it, (or higher do this.)
the MS way to fix this is far more easy
if system is not corrupted or infected this works if not F11 restore it.
be connected to the internet first
CP control panel go there.
click device manager, see bad devices(red or yellow marks)
we fix those first. same way.
this magic is called PnP plug and pray.(pun)

plug in any usb device, a keyboard or mouse tops my choice
or usb flash memory stick 2nd
if the keyboard, works on USB< great if not do this.
yes plug in any USB keyboard made or wired mouse to USB jacks
pick one. lets call it USB UNder test, UUT
you then see USB devices in the Device manager. you must

stop uninstalling things, diagnosis is first. not guessing at random.
sorry.
photos RUN CP + DM (path of clicks)

#1
see this, see its not missing see its not red marked or yellow bad.
if its there, plugged in right click those and click update (magic pnp)
ether the usb keyboard or mouse or both.
forget internal LT keyboard.
top-5pwpc4yvku1dej4b3igosgxq-3-0.jpg

photo 2
this is really first. this is the USB chip hub inside your PC
all PC have this, and again, must not be missing or red /yellow marked as bad.
see this, same trick, right click them and update it. online
only w7 and newer work now, MS shut down XP and VISTA.
This is DM. window. (mines W10) see my CELL phone there.?

bottom-5pwpc4yvku1dej4b3igosgxq-3-1.jpg
recap:
USB fails for these reasons, (chips USB not blown up)
  1. OS corrupted ,
  2. viruses
  3. loading wrong drivers not from HP or MS to your PC.
  4. using devices so old W7 does not know about.(obsolete things)
  5. using new USB devices MS/nor HP supports so go to makers home page and it that there, for example USB headphone MS does not support, next time name something?

eg> examples
my USB flat bed scanner is now dead, due to no more driver support by any one on earth
my head phones all USB fail. unless i get them from the makers.

Best is to try any keyboard /mouse wired, and do that test first
this is called walking before the big run....
do the easy first then we do the hard last.
nothing is more complex than USB support, (expected)
more, printers dead (very old ones)
so next time tell one thing that fails, or all things.
and WIN. by name and maker and model devices.

I have windows 7 and my pc doesn't recognize my cable usb for samsung d 900 i

Try another USB port, make sure the USB port is working by attaching another device. Also to verify that the USB is working go to device manager: right click on My computer> Hardware > Device manager > on the list verify that the USB controllers are working properly by clicking with right button and going to >properties.

If it is working fine, check the cable, or try another cable. Finally make sure the contacts in the usb plug and phone are clean.

The usb device didn't work

Hello. When you plug in a USB device you must also download and run a disk called a driver. If you do not have a disk, you can download one. Just go to the company web site for the product and find the free downloadable driver. For example if you have a lexpro product, just google lexpro.com/drivers. Joe

please rate my answer as very helpful. thank you.

The blue screen pops up when I plug in my MP3 player to my computer via USB. The player is a philips and the motherboard is a ASUS P5ND. Also does this when I try to plug in my Sanyo camera and Motorola...

repair windows using your cd and after that upgrade usb drivers. if you still have the problem after this that means that your source(ac) needs to be changed with a powerfull one. (example: if you have a 250 W source you need at least 50w more...a 300w for example and so on!). your computers it`s doing this only with devices that use the data cable to charge...that`s why i`m saying that!

Lost the instructions

Ok plug the the device into your usb port. Most usb devices have lights letting you know they are working. After plugging it in if your using Windows goto "My Computer" and look for a new Drive letter like when I plug mine in it says NO_NAME(G:) and then I can access the flashdrive just likes its a regular harddrive. Now you can always already have "My Computer" open so you can see the new drive letter pop up. Don't look for (G:) yours can be different but it might also be named something like TravelDrive(F:) thats just an example. I hope this helps you
