What is the cubic yard of a circle that is 10.82feet diameter x 16inches deep?

the formula for volume of a cylinder is Volume = pi × r2 × h
but if you arent math savvy, first you convert your units so they are the same. all you have to do is change 16 inches into 1.3 feet and divide your diameter (10.82 feet) by 2 to give you the radius (5.41 feet)
plug in those values here:
https://www.bing.com/search?FORM=U312DF&PC=U312&q=volume+of+a+cylinder

and you will get 119.5 cubic feet

then convert cubic feet to cubic yards here:
http://www.metric-conversions.org/volume/cubic-feet-to-cubic-yards.htm

and the answer to your question is 4.425 cubic yards

How many cubic yards would it take to fill in. 20' x 2' diameter

Hi Paula:
A mathematical logic question.
You need to get all of the measurements in the same units.
- A cubic yard is 1 yard x 1 yard x 1 yard
- equals 3 ft x 3 ft x 3 ft
- equals 27 cubic feet,
so once you have the volume of the pipe in cubic feet, you divide by 27 to get the volume in cubic yards.
- Volume of a cylinder (the pipe) is the cross sectional area X length.
- Area equals Pi x r squared.
- equals 22/7 x 1 x 1
equals 3.14#####
times length (20)
equals 62.857### cubic feet volume
divide by 27 cubic feet
equals 2.328### cubic yards.

- The answer is always the easy part.
- what is important is knowing exactly what the question is, and
- determing what calculations are needed to get the answer.

Wasn't that better than if I'd just said 2 1/3 cubic yards?
Cheers

A book box 17 x 13 x 8 inches is how many cubic feet?

First get the number of cubic inches by multiplying the three value provided.

17 x 13 x 8 = 1768 cubic inches

Then determine the number of cubic inches in a cubic foot:
12 x 12 x 12 = 1728 cubic inches

Determine the value in cubic feet by dividing the number of cubic inches in the box by the number of cubic inches in a cubic foot:

1768 divided by 1728 = 1.023148148148... cubic feet

250ftx15ft, how many cubic ft.?

Not enough information to answer. For AREA, you multiply length times width and get square feet. For VOLUME you multiply length times width times height and get cubic feet. You need a third value to calculate cubic feet.

How long is 13 cu feet like how many foot is that

One cubic foot is a cube one foot long, one foot high, and one foot wide. How long is 13 cubic feet is is not answerable because it could be any number of lengths depending on the lengths of the other two dimensions.

What is the cu ft of Model FRT21IL4FW3 Freezer space?

Easiest solution is to measure the inside dimensions in inches, tall, width and depth. Then multiply the three dimensions t x w x d = cubic inches. To get cubic feet then divide the above answer by 1728 and the result is cubic feet..

For instance if the fridge is 60 inches tall x 24 inches wide x 18 inches deep; the answer is 60 x 24 x 18 = 25,929 cubic inches... 25,920 divided by 1728 = 15 cubic feet.

How do you calculate cubic feet?

You calculate a volume. If all the lengths, radii, heights are in feet the resulting volume is in cubic feet.
Example: Right rectangular prism with L=5 ft, W= 3 ft, height =1.5 ft
Volume =(5 ft)*(3 ft)*(1.5 ft)= (5*3*1.5) (ft*ft*ft)=22.5 ft^3

Hi i need to know how to convert 80 sq ft to cubic meters

You don't. Square feet is a measure of area while cubic meters is a measure of volume.

Consider a room 8 ft by 10 ft. The floor area is 80 square ft. What's the volume of the room in cubic feet (let's not worry about converting to meters yet). Well, that depends on the height of the ceiling, doesn't it? If the ceiling is 8 ft high then the volume is 640 cubic feet. If the ceiling is 12 ft high then the volume is 960 cubic feet. Without that third dimension, you can't calculate the volume.

Size of older GW Microwave

If you want to calculate the volume of an object and have the answer in cubic feet.

Volume=Length X Width X Height
With the dimensions you give
Volume=12.5in X 37in X 20in
Volume=9250 cubic inches

To convert 9250 cubic inches into cubic feet you need to understand that there are 1728 cubic inches in 1 cubic foot.
L X W X H = 12"X12"X12"=1728 cu in

You then multiply 9250cu in and (1/1728cu ft) Really you are dividing 9250 by 1728.
your answer is 5.35 cubic feet.

12 inches in 1 foot
144 square inches in 1 square foot
1728 cubic inches in 1 cubic foot

to convert you put the unit you want to keep on top of the dividend.
to conver to to feet ( randomly selecting 100 inches)
Example converting 100 inches to feet

100inches X ____1ft____ = (100/12) = 8.3 feet
12inches

or cubic inches to cubic feet
4000 cubic inches to cubic feet

4000cu in X ____1cu ft____ = ( 2.33 cu ft)
1728 cu in

if you notice that the units on top and bottom of the dividend cancel each other out leaving the numerator (top number) as your unit.
it also works in reverse

2.33 cu ft X ___1728 cu in____ = (4000 cu in)
1cu ft
