Folks that use Canon will tell you Canon. Folks that have a Nikon will suggest Nikon.
My suggestion is that you visit a real camera store, and handle all of the models, and see which one is most comfortable in your hands. That's the one you will take the best pictures with. The differences from brand to brand are rather small.

Own DSLR camera would like to know the single best lens for the DSLR?

"Best" lens depends on several things:

1. What kind of pictures do you intend to take?
2. Do you mind a heavy leans? Some are 10 pounds or more.
3. Your budget.

The "standard kit lens" that most come with is perfectly good for general photography. If you want to take architectural pictures, you'll need something different. If you want wide landscapes, you will need a wide angle, and if you want wildlife/bird pictures, you'll want a telephoto lens. It all really depends on what you intend to do...

For example, I have a very wide lens I use for interior architectural pictures, medium telephoto for portraits, and a variety of long to very long telephotos for wildlife pictures...

Yes, there are some extreme zoom lenses that cover 'normal" to "very long" telephoto. They're expensive, not especially sharp, and very heavy. Everything is a compromise.

What is the disadvantage of nikond3100

That depends on what you compare it with.

It's larger and heavier than a point-and-shoot camera, but it's smaller and lighter than an high-end DSLR.

It has a smaller sensor than a high-end DSLR, giving poorer results, especially in low-light situations. It has a larger sensor than a point-and-shoot camera, giving better results, especially in low-light situations.

It's more complex than a point-and-shoot camera, requiring more time to learn how to use it well. It's simpler than a high-end DSLR, requiring less time to learn how to use it well.

It doesn't give you as much control over picture-taking settings as a high-end DSLR will, and many of the settings require going through menus instead of simple buttons and dials. This can make the D3100 slower in operation. It gives you more control over picture-taking settings than a point-and-shoot camera, and provides access to some of those controls through buttons and dials, instead of going through menus. This can make the D3100 quicker in operation.

The D3100 won't focus with lenses without an autofocus motor. Higher-end DSLRs will autofocus with any autofocus lens.

No two camera models are identical. Only YOU can decide which features are most important to YOU. How important is the weight of the camera? Do you want a camera that's easy to learn, or one that's easy to control?

What is the difference in Point & Shoot, SLR and DSLR, in digital cameras?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single-lens_reflex_camera
See the above for complete details but a SLR is a film-based camera (35mm) single-lens-reflex. Going to digital cameras which do not use film but have digital chips to capture the image, a point-and-shoot camera is smaller and does not have interchangeable lens and is for the amatuer while the D-SLR is more for high-end images and has lenses which you can interchange along with more features and costs more.

Im going to buy a new digital camera im totally confused in choosing brand and model????????? can u say me which is the best brand digital camera im having some option canon sony nikon

Only you can decide which is the best camera for you. What do you want to do with it? What type of pictures do you like to take? What's most important to you -- cost, size, weight, ease of use, ease of learning, power, availability of lenses and other accessories, or something else? Which camera feels most comfortable in your hands? There's nothing wrong with any of the three brands you mentioned. I personally use Nikons, but a large part of that is due to the fact that only Nikon cameras can use the thirty-year-old Nikon lenses I already have.

To repeat, the BEST camera for you is the best camera for YOU. Only you can make that choice. The best camera for me is probably not the best camera for you, just as my favorite food is probably not your favorite food.

When taking a picture screen is black but lights up the picture after it is taken

Is this a DSLR (interchangeable lenses) or a point-and-shoot? A DSLR doesn't show the image until the photo is taken, and then only for a short (often selectable) period of time.

Mount for rollei pqs lense to nikon dslr body

Hi there,
The rollei 600x mount lenses communicate to the camera via the gold plated contacts. In addition, the 350mm PQS is a medium format lens. There is currently no such adapter.
