What camera, where is the piece you are talking about? Also, a camera does not screw into things, however it will screw onto things. Before anyone can assist you, do provide more detailed info.

What size screw do I need for the canon powershot sd790 is side strap panel? Both of them have fallen out.

The Canon SD790 has a problem where the two screws in the side of the camera work themselves loose over time, then fall out. Many times people lose the two side body pieces of the camera as well!

Both screws need to be put back in place and held in with 'Locktite' so they don't fall out again.

If you do a Google search for "Canon SD790 screws " you will see in the #1 position Darntoothysam com, where you can buy the exact OEM Canon screws for $7 including shipping.

Hope this helps!

Lens scratched on lg shine , how do i replace

Visit this web page for a picture guide to repair your screen. http://tiny.cc/YaTay

Directions to repair the screen on an LG Shine:

Step 1. Take off back cover and remove battery and SIM card.
.
Step 2. Remove the six screws holding on the back cover.
.
Step 3. Get a thin piece of metal and pry off back piece of the main phone unit.
.
Step 4. Once you get the back piece off you can see a green unit at the top of phone. This is the camera, all you do is pull on it and it should un-clip.
.
Step 5. Once the camera is removed you can see 4 more screws, unscrew these.
.
Step 6. Now that the screws are out you can pull off the main board. The first thing you need to do is un-clip the black ribbon that is at the top. Then you have to un-clip the clip on all four corners, after you do this the main board will come out.
.
Step 7. Now That you have that off there are 2 screws on the back that you must unscrew.
.
Step 8. With the screws gone you can now pull the slider away from the piece that has the number pad on it.
.
Step 9. On the back of the slider there are 6 screw you must unscrew. The Two screws at the top have small black circles glued on-top of them. Just wedge something under the black peices and they will come off.
.
Step 10. Now that the screws are out you can pry off the plastic LCD screen cover from the metal slider piece.
.
Step 11. After the LCD screen cover is gone you must unscrew 2 screws to the left and right of the joystick. After you remove the screws the joystick cover comes off.
.
Step 12. Now that you have the cover off you need to turn the plate where the joystick is on over and pull out of the LCD screen clip.

Step 13. After you do this you can now put in the replacement and put the phone back together.

If this information was helpful, please give me a big thumbs-up when you rate my answer. Thank you.

A white piece fell out from the spot next to the memory chip of my Nikon coolpix P4 camera, now the camera will not turn on, can you tell me what this piece is for and if my camera can be fixed, thanks

if you feel technically inclined you can open the camera carefully and take it apart to the point where you can remove the upper circuit board ( NOTE 1: make a careful note of every screw you remove since they are different size and need to be used exactly in the same order) and then the small black plastic assembly above the circuit board below, you can see the defective switch on top of the 2nd board, remove the plastic part of the switch until you see the bare 2 contacts on the circuit board, solder a small piece of wire to bridge the contacts, now very carefully reassemble the camera observing the exact order of screws used, see NOTE 1. If everything is back in order insert the battery and the camera should work now.
note: should you not be inclined to do this work and want to sell the camera as is for spare parts I am interested, drop me a note at: cocnutray at yahoo.com. A Nikon repair shop will charge between $80 to $110 FOR THIS TYPE OF REPAIR, THEY WILL ACTUALLY REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE MICRO-SWITCH. HOPE THIS HELPS :-)

How do I open the battery compartment on my son's fisher price camera?

The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the camera. You can use a phillips or flat head screw driver to unscrew the 2 plastic screws. Once unscrewed slide the bottom piece out.

Missing a screw!

Hi Jonathan.
You can get the part you need (QB-4W) off the web. The part doesn't have a wheel, it's called a quick release plate. It's going to cost about 12. usd. Here is just one site you can find it.

Mode Button Inoperable

In most battery opperated, fim cameras, the buttons are usually composed of a plastic outer, the part you press, and underneath that button is a thin piece of angled plastic that keeps the button from depressing when you aren't touching it. That thin piece of plastic usually isn't very sturdy and can and had a tendency to break in half making it impossible to get a battery reaction. If you trust yourself with a small screw driver and have a good memory of what you take appart, you can replace this piece yourself. Any camera shop will have the piece you need. Other than that, you'll need some super glue to secure it and you should have a refurbished Mode button~!
Good Luck and I hope you're up taking photos soon!

Dial hard to move

I had same problem.I got a new camera but wife likes this one.Decided I would try to fix.there are 9 very small phillips screws around sides and on the bottom of case .you need very small jewlers type screw driver. Some are longer tha others so draw a picture so you can get them all back in correct places.after removing all screws spread the body at the bottom top has small pivot connectors that will open when body is ****.the front and back are now connected by two small cables ,these donot have to be disconnected.the dial on top is made up of two disks and a small spring held together by another small screw .remove screw and look for any thing that is binding ,mine was a piece of worn plastic .I removed and saw how the pieces went back together.I added alittle grease to spring sides reassembled camera put back batteries and mem.card had to reset date ,but now back working like new .Hope this helps.

Lcd screen comes up in spots

Once your LCD has gone blotchy, that means its probably time to get a new one. Water has either leaked inside and ruined it or there is damage in the wiring. As for opening your camera, once all screws are out, it usually a matter of clips on the inside that snap the 2 halves of the camera together. I don't own this camera so I would suggest using a small flat head screwdriver and gently prying around trying to find the clips.
