And still you say it is ok? I don't think the thermostat is defect, but I could be worth checking. When the freezer keeps running all the time you can be sure the thermostat is working.
Most likely, you lost cooling fluid (used to be Freon, but not allowed anymore) from the aggregate. As long as you can't find where it is leaking, no need to fill it again. (you can't fill it yourself)
Just replace the aggregate or buy a new freezer. New freezers are better insulated and use less power.
