Mercury 150 hp 2 stroke 2003 everything runs fine with idle throttle lever engaged but when you put motor into gear i stalls idle to slow how do you adjust it thanks

If someone changed props this can cause this problem. You need to be careful that any adjustment is made for throttle rod and not for carbs if not an injected engine. You do not want to fool around with air mixture. Some throttle cables use threaded linkage and length of rod is adjustment for rpm. Others use a stop screw or hex head to move the throttle lever away from the housings.

How do i replace the lcm on my 2004 grand marquis?

The lcm is just right of the steering wheel column and left of and below the radio. you have to remove a plastic cowling under the steering column that is attached by two plastic push pins on either side of the column. there is an accessory light that needs to be unplugged from the cowling. the cowling slides out and the lcm is exposed. it's a black box a bit bigger than the size of a brick and has three wire harnesses plugged into it. the lcm is held in a metal cage bracket with two hex head screws. After removing the screws, the lcm can be pushed up slightly and out of the cage toward the front of the fire wall. it's easier to detach the harnesses after the lcm is out of the cage.

How do I change the cabin air filter?

In the engine compartment, look for a horizontal cover plate in the very front of the black plastic 'cowl', on the passenger side of the vehicle. It's roughly in front of the passenger side wiper blade.

The cover is approximately 2" x 10", and latches on the right-side, remove that cover and the filter is just lifted out

Cabin air filter

Tools needed are a Phillips screwdriver. Open the hood. Notice the cover for the cabin filter is on the cowl on the passenger side. Remove the screw form the cover. Remove the cover by pulling toward the front of the vehicle. The filter is now visible. Remove by pushing up on the filter to loosen from housing and then pulling out toward the front of the vehicle.
Replace with clean cabin filter. Replace cover by lining up the notches on either side of the cover plate to the grooves in the filter housing. Replace the screw in the cover plate.

Good luck and hope this helps.

1992 150hp merc black max and hydraulics won't work, sounds like a sick animal.

On the bottom of the trim/tilt cylinder there is a big white slotted head screw usually located on the right side. Turn that out about 3 turns. Have someone help you manually lift the engine and while it is up tighten that screw back up and it should stay. From there you can check your trim lines and check the Cylinder for leaks. Also check to make sure that there is no water in the system. Once the engine is all the way up just engage the tilt lock and you will be able to do anything that you need to without fear of the engine bleeding back down.

My vacuum takes off in drive

Some months ago I fell over my K-G6 at nite. Later the handle appeared looser than normal. Gradually, it started having the possessed yank-you-off-your-feet feel. This week I carefully disassembled the chrome plated cowling cover the handle goes thru to look inside. Two top machine screws when the front hood is lifted, two rear screws in the plastic, a single center screw near the drive-neutral toggle and a single screw for the power cord strain relief. I removed the handle by taking the two large screws off. This allowed the cowling to come free. From the rear, on the left side is a lever with a two pronged fork pointing up. The fork is supposed to stick into the receiver mechanism which is part of the handle slide. I get it: as the user pushes and pulls on the handle while vacuuming, the handle assembly slides back and forth and transmits commands thru the mechanical linkage to the drive mechanism. My fork was not engaged in the receiver. The reason was 3 screws on the left side of the brass block assembly were loose and the small black wedge was partially crushed. I dissassembled, cleaned, oiled and replaced the pieces and cinched down the 5 machine screws holding both brass blocks and the wedge. When I did this, I noticed the fork engaged with the receiver. Now reassembled, my Kirby runs pretty good and no longer feels possessed. And yes the roller height does make a difference on the drive assist reaction.
