You need a RESET utility software to make it work. Download SSC Service Utility to do that... Search it on the internet and download the file... it's free. But you have to change the "waste pads" so ink won't overflow from your printer during head cleaning.

Can i print with my epson sx 100 if i have just black ink (C,M,Y inks are emty) ?

You need to refill or change the Empty cartridges before you can print again. I'm sorry to say that if inks are empty on other cartridges it will not print.

Hope this helps...

I changed the black ink cartridge and now not working

Did you remove the plastic sticker over the print head of the cartridge?

Are you using a refilled cartridge? Most cartridges have a sensor that tells the printer how much ink is left. When companies refill them they do not replace the sensor, so a completely full cartridge will still tell the printer that it is empty.

Epson CX7450 Black Ink Won't Work...

I was having the same problem. This fixed it:

Lift up the scanner bed (top part) of the printer to expose the cartridges.

Push the red triangle button once. Wait for the cartridge carrier to move to the middle. On the housing of the printer (the non-moving part), there is an arrow that will point to the empty cartridge.

Push the red triangle button again to see if the next cartridge is empty. Repeat this step, noting which cartridges are empty, until the cartridge carrier moves to the right. Now you can replace each cartridge that is empty.

After replacing the empty cartridges, push the red triangle button again, and the carrier will begin moving back and forth (cleaning itself). Once it stops, it should be positioned on the far right side.

Lower the scanner bed to "close" the printer. The ink light should go off and you should be able to print.

Printer will not print

You must have both cartridges installed and neither must be empty. Note the red light on - this means an ink problem. See the handbook (download from Epson website if you don't have one) to see what the various light combinations mean.

Red light

It could be a faulty printer cartridge(it happens). One way to check for this is put in your old cartridge(even if its empty!). If the printer goes to a ready state with your old cartridge, then the new cartridge you replaced might be the problem! if you are refilling cartridges, check out this site let me know how this turns out regards, babb
