Please check your owner's manual to be sure. I have an Elna and it needs oil on a white pad inside the bobbin area. I oil each time I do a new project.

Where does the oil go in an Elna eXperience 450

Consult the owner's manual. As a computerized machine, it is important to oil ONLY as directed in the machine instructions. You may also contact an Elna dealer.

(FWIW, the only manuals for download I found were not free.) The instructions for the 320 and 520 do not specify oiling.

Does an Elna need a specific oil for maintenance?

contact elna customer service and ask them, but I would think they would tell you that just regular sewing machine oil is what you use. because I have different sewing machines, necchi's, singer's, riccar and I use regular sewing machine oil on them all and they sew just fine with it.

Should I oil my Elna 3005 sewing machine?

Many of the new models do not require oiling.

Check the maintenace section of the manual for cleaning the shuttle area. Sometimes lint can build up and cause the machine to get noisy.

If it has been over a year since the machine was serviced, it may be time for a proffesional tune-up.
