I need a diagram of where the toner over flow bottle is located.

Hello lynae,
I must assume you need help with the waste toner bottle. I would be glad to help. First lets establish a frame of referrence. We will start by assuming you are standing in front of the copier. If you have a stapler/finisher, release it from the copier and slide it as far away from the main copier as you can. Ok now you have exposed the area/panel that you need to access. The panel you need to remove is located at the left side of the copier, at the lower rear very back. The panel has one screw and is about 4 inches wide by 11 inches tall. Now it's not ON the back, its on the left at the lower rear corner. Remove the screw.Remove the cover. You will now see a bottle. It has a handle and is not clear but milky looking as far as being to see thru it. Slide the bottle straight out. Now we need to empty it. Get a trash bag and empty the bottle.Keep it low and slow so the toner does not poof out every where. It does not need to be completely empty. Now the way your copier knows(or thinks) the bottle is full is by shining a light through the upper neck of the bottle. Look closely and you will see 2 small "windows" that the light shines through. When those windows are dirty it blocks the light and the copier "assumes" the bottle is full. Although the bottle is empty, the windows are still dirty. Use a Q tip or whatever you can cram in there to clean those windows so the light can shine through. Once they are clean re-install the bottle and put the cover back on. Slide the stapler/sorter back to the copier {if you have one}. Unplug the copier. Wait a second, and plug it back in. If you cleaned the windows in the upper neck of the copier properly the light will shine through and the copier will be happy. TADA!!!! GOOD JOB! Take care and let "FIXYA" know I helped you please. Canon 2220i imagerunner how do you empty the waste toner container

Hello autumn,
Lets start with a reference, which will be standing in front of the copier. Ok,using this reference the waste toner bottle is located on the left side of the copier at the the lowest point of the left side almost at the back of the copier. If you have a stapler/finsher you will need to un-dock it from the copier and slide it away as far as possible, It need not be removed. Now you will have located a cover with one screw. Remove the screw and remove the cover. You now see the bottle. It has a handle so slide it out being careful not to spill it. You can of course pour the waste toner into a strong plastic bag, taking whatever cautions you see fit as you have one hell of a potential mess if not handled carefully.Once the bottle is empty, please notice the neck of the bottle. The way the copier "knows" the bottle is full is by sending a beem of infrared light thru the neck of the bottle. When the waste toner fills the bottle to the neck and blocks the beam of light the copier knows the bottle is full. My point is make sure you clean the neck of the waste toner bottle (if you look closely you will see the "windows" the light travels thru) by using a Q Tip or tissue. If the "windows" are clouded the copier will think the bottle is still full even though the bottle is empty. Does that make sense? In other words you could put a brand new waste toner bottle in the copier with black tape around the neck of the bottle and the copier would say the bottle is full.So now that its empty, and the neck is clean, replace the bottle and the cover.Turn off the "main power switch" located on the right side towards the rear of the copier.Wait a sec, turn it back on and you should be in good shape.Take care and let "FIXYA " know if I helped please. I can not waite for a waste container to ship. Can I empty the waste container on the Minalta 2300dl?

Yes, but take it outside first! Prise the unit off the housing, taking care NOT to spill dust. In a dust bin, empty the bottle. Before you reinstate it, clean the recessed lug on the rear, as the printer has an optical light or something that shines through the lug. If its dirty, the printer will thunk it's still full. No need to buy new bottle...I haven't!

Getting error code 000019-0000....what can I do?

Hello entpap,
This code means your "waste toner bottle" is full. WE can fix this! Just stay with me and dont get frustrated. :-) .Its really quite easy for you, once we discuss this. There is a receptacle that recieves any and all residual image that should have been placed on the prints/copies that you have been processing as you have been using the device. But there is always a bit of the image that does not go to the paper and needs to be cleaned off so the next print/copy will be clean and not have the last copy on it. So the copier always cleans the old area and deposits the waste into a waste toner bottle. The bottle fills until to the point that the "neck" gets filled. The copier is constantly sending a beam of light through the neck and when the waste toner level reaches a point that the neck is full, it breaks the beam of light and the copier says E19. All we need to do is locate and empty the bottle, AND clean the area of the neck/top of the bottle that the beam of light shines through.(as it will be clouded regardless of the staus of the bottle even after you empty it. Access to the waste toner bottle on your device is located at the left rear corner of it.The back cover need not come off, although you will see it if you choose to remove it.But if you use the front of the machine as a referrence point , there is a panel(I believe 2 screws) on the left side panel at the very back.If I recall , its about 4 inches wide and 12 inches tall. Remove the 2 screws , remove the panel, and you will see the bottle. It is milky not clear. Slide the bottle straight out and empty it carefully into a trashbag. Now that its empty you will notice that towards the top are 2 lenses that the beam looks through. Use a Q'tip or the like to clean those the beam may pass. Re insert the bottle and power the device off and on. You are "FIXED" . Wooohooooooo . Take care and send "FIXYA" a happygram on my behalf please. Happy NEW YEAR!!!!!! :-)

How do i empty the used toner?

WAIT!!! Don't let Ricoh Steal your money...

You're going to get a little bit dirt with the trick, but there is no need to buy a empty waste toner bottel

Empty the waste toner bottle inside a plastic bag, the dust is kind of azard!!!, when the bottle is empty, clean it from the outside.
Place the bottle in the printer, (This is just for reference only), in the right side of the bottle you're going to see a plastic tag all dirty (You see it?) OK!!, remove the bottle from the printer, and then very carfully remove that plastic tag from the bottle taking care of not ripping it off, now clean the plastic tag, and put it in place again, and now your printer is ready to work!!!!!
Where's the trick?, The printer has a Photo sensor that is "looking" trugh this plastic tag, when the plastic tag is full of toner, the sensor can't get the signal, and then it says that the waste bottle is full..!!!
