Front brake reservoir piston is stuck in

First check the O-rings/ seals on the piston, clean gum or dirt from the piston then bleed the brakes. Check for leaks, particularly around the piston. I think that there was a ring of dirt built up around the piston and when you pushed the piston in the dirt rolled or ripped the pistons o-ring.

Won't start leaks gas

The Carburetor is flooding. The only thing that
will cause a flood problem is the float needle is not seating properly in the
needle seat. The Carburetor will need to be removed to replace the Needle and Float
assembly. After instillation the float level will need to be checked, and
adjusted if required. This is a little tricky, and would be quite lengthy to explain
hear. Short version is, the needle is a two part piece, having a spring loaded
piston located in the needle, the neoprene needle tip will need to be seated in
the seat, the spring loaded piston in the needle will need to remain uncompressed, in other words not pushed
into the needle what so ever. With the float tang just touching the top of the
uncompressed needle piston. To do this hold the carburetor housing in a
position to accomplish the the above configuration. Measure from the carburetor
housing gasket surface to the highest point of the float drum. The measurement specifications
are (14.5 to 18.5 mm) or (0.57" to 0.72" in). Make sure the float pin rotates

I have a Marvel-Schebler carburetor, Model Tsx. My carb had needle brings in throttle shaft. When I removed throttle shaft the needle brings fell out. The kit does not have new bearing in kit. What is the...

There are no needle bearings in the carb, they came from someplace else. And I suspect a connecting rod. The only place I can think off where they could have come from. And I'll tell you why. I had a 66 Saab, 3 cyl, 3 carbs, 2 stroke,4 speed on the column, front wheel drive, rack and pinion steering, way ahead of it's time. Neat little car. Never got stuck. But, I had a problem once with a piston slapping, I could stick my finger in the spark plug hole and feel the piston come up and fall down, I said what the? So I replaced the engine, I had a spare. Took off the head and the top of the piston was just peppered with needle bearings from the wrist pin. How they got up there , I don't know, but they were there. Hope this helps.

I have zl 1000 had petrol going into sump afer haveing new camchain fitted, told it,s a carb problem,by same shop, what do you think

hi,this problem is normally caused by the float needles inside the carb bowls not sealing properly, which will allow the carb bowls to keep filling untill they overflow, once they have overflowed the petrol will make its way through the inlet manifold past the valves in the head and then down to the pistons, past the piston rings and into the sump,it is not difficult to replace the needle valve seats once you have the carbs off,all you do is take the carb bowls off (4 screws),pop out the pin that holds the floats in,the needle valve is connected to the floats normally by a little spring type clip, unscrew the needle valve seat(brass) and remove, screw in the new one..job done..replace the needle valve as well..hope this helps...cheers

2006 malibu maxx - the rear brake caliper will not depress.

If you are replacing the rear pads and are trying to retract the caliper pistons here is what you need to do.
Use a piston installation tool in order to twist the brake caliper piston into the brake caliper bore.
If you do not have the tool you can retract the piston by using a needle nose plier.
Exert downward force and rotate clockwise until the piston bottoms out.
Before installing be sure the two "U" shaped slots are at 6:00 and 12:00 Oclock.

Set for zigzagging but is straight stitching.

There will be a piston attached to the needle arm guiding left/right motion that is gummed with old oil and need to get at it with methylated(denatured) spirit and move needle arm with thumb & forefinger to "wiggle" the piston free of the may take some time and several applications to free this.
Now a small drop of oil on the piston shaft

Fuel problem

The float needle and seat is leaking. When the bowl is full, the needle and seat is not shutting off the flow of gas. It flow up into the carb, down the intake, past the intake valve and piston rings into the crankcase. The needle and pressed-in brass seat need to be replaced.
