How do I program to show VAT on receipts?

There is normally a machine setting to show tax on receipts. Check machine features programming. It's probably in there. If you need a manual, there is one online here:

Wan to canche vat from 18 to 19 percent

You need to follow the table for tax rate programming. If you use multiple taxes, set the rate for tax1, tax2, or tax3 etc. Most VAT is done via tax1 only. If you have lost your manual, most cash register manuals are here http://the-checkout-tech.com/

How do you change VAT rate on Quicken 2002

You cannot do this on the normal account register, as you might have done in earlier versions of Quicken. You have to use two special registers, by creating a BUSINESS BILLS and a CUSTOMER INVOICES register. To do this tap the CREATE NEW ACCOUNT button, in the MY FINANCES screen, and select these registers from the dialogue box. When you receive a payment from a customer, open the CUSTOMER INVOICES register. Then... 1. Tap the TYPE box, and choose INVOICE from the drop down list. This will enter INVC into the box. 2. Look at the button under the BALANCE column. Instead of the usual SPLIT button, this is now labelled FORM. Click on this, and a Customer Invoice Form will appear. Fill in the details from the invoice you have received. Under AMOUNT enter the amount received, less VAT. In the V column, enter the symbol for the appropriate VAT RATE, and Quicken will calculate and enter the VAT amount. 3. When you have completed all the required boxes on the form, click the SAVE AND DONE button, and The form will close. 4. You will see that Quicken has entered the details in the correct Registers. I 5. When you produce your VAT REPORT your item will appear with its details in the correct places. The process for entering a payment is similar, but you will then be using the Business Bills register. Problem solved ! John Cunliffe

Flexion1: Cash Register Casio TE-2400

You need to check that your PLU button really is a PLU button for a start. In REG mode, press 1 then the PLU button. It should register the product that is also on your first item button. If you press 2 then PLU, it should register the second product on your keyboard. If it doesn't then the PLU button has been moved from the original location. I can give you the code to replace it.
To set the NO SALE button back to location, Turn key to Program mode, 4 SUBTOTAL 41 Now press the NO SALE button on your keyboard. SUBTOTAL Now turn the key back to REG and try the NO SALE button. If it still does nothing then you probably have special programming to disallow the NO SALE command. Let me know.
There is a setting for VAT breakdown printing in the table under the heading 'TRANSACTION KEY PROGRAM' Find this in your manual and under it you will see a table with the heading <CASH>,<CHARGE>,<CHECK>. Near the bottom of the table is the breakdown setting. I assume you are familiar with this programming as you said you had tried other VAT settings. If you just want this setting turned on, use 100000 when programming. Otherwise, you will need to create a number depending upon what features you want to enable for each payment button.

Hi. The 201 is not easy. Do you know how to do a program print? I will need to know what settings you have already before changing anything as you have to set many bit numbers at once

Tally9's features

Tally uses the latest technology to provide features in a simplified manner. It is a robust system that is easy to use.

Multilingual Business Accounting and Inventory Management Features
  • Multilingual Support: Tally can now be used concurrently in the language of your choice. Tally's interface is now available in Bahasa Melayu besides English and the Indic languages Hindi, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Punjabi, Telugu, Malayalam and Hinglish (colloquial)

  • Payroll: Payroll in Tally enables users to set up and implement simple to complex salary structures. You can align and automate payroll processes and directly integrate them with main stream accounting applications. Tally Payroll also supports configurable formats for payslip printing; flexible salary/wage, attendance, leave and overtime registers; gratuity and expat reports

  • FBT (Fringe benefit tax): FBT in Tally is a one time, easy to enable configuration. It supports Challan management and printing for prompt and accurate filing of tax. On entering the transactions, Tally automatically calculates the FBT and generates the reports

  • VAT Composition Returns: VAT Composition Returns in Tally provides fast and error-free voucher entry with complete tracking of each transaction. It supports the printing of VAT Composition Returns of any state in which VAT has been implemented. The Composition Rate of VAT is automatically recognised based upon turnover and the tax payable is calculated automatically and shown in the Return Form

  • Excise for Dealers: Excise for Dealers in Tally generates Excise Invoices for Traders, Tracks Purchase Invoices during sales and duty credit availed and passed on. It also maintains the Excise Stock Register and generates Quarterly Returns

  • TDS (Tax Deducted at Source): Tally allows you to configure TDS ledgers by specifying the Nature of Payment and Assessee Types, along with the Rate of TDS. It determines user-defined expense/payment types with user-defined rates. TDS can be deducted automatically based on pre-defined rates, once the transactions exceed the threshold limit. You can generate Challans, the Form-16A Certificate as well as the quarterly and annual returns. Tally also generates e-TDS files in NSDL compatible formats

  • Synchronization: Synchronization in Tally helps you transfer data between two or more locations (Example: When a Branch Office and the Head Office of a company reside in two different locations). Synchronization can be done, both ways (For Example: You can transfer the data from Branch Office to Head Office or vice-versa).

  • E-mail reports and documents directly from Tally

  • Publish reports in HTML on Web or Intranet and share them with suppliers, customers or your own staff

  • Direct web browsing capability from within Tally that avoids switching between programs

  • Exchange data with other systems using XML. Tally gives you the means to collaborate with others and share information like never before

  • ODBC connectivity opens up Tally. This makes Tally fields in ODBC to be compliant with programs like MS Word and MS Excel. This enables you to integrate Tally data dynamically into other ODBC systems. It even designs a form like remittance advice and imbed fields like Customer name and address, account balances and so on, in Excel/word

Programming help

Hi Leanne,
It depends which line it is on.
The codes for the lines are:
132 line 1
232 line 2
332 line 3
432 line 4

Turn the key to program mode

Type the line number (eg if VAT is on 3rd line down, type 332)

Press SUBTOTAL

Type the new details for that line using the programming layout in your book under the 'entering characters' section. You need to use the numbers at the left side, not the normal number pad. Eg 5/0 is above the clear key. To switch between the top and bottom numbers on the key, use CAPS or SHIFT. If you make a mistake while entering, the decimal point button will delete the last character.

Press 00 (the double zero button)

Press CASH

Press SUBTOTAL

Turn the key back to reg mode, and try printing a receipt. Note - you might have to print two receipts before you see the change.

Hope this helps. If you have any problems, just let me know.
