I would have thought simply making certain that whatever is connected to your Video Aux connection is actually in the socket and is not hanging out or even a faulty lead.

CTVPGX011 connected to RD4 does not recognise aux input when pressing source selection Peugeot 207

If your RD4 unit doesn't recognise that there is a new source then try the following:Connect up everything as explained in the instructions that came with the kit. Turn on the ignition of the car. You will notice that there is a small black rectangular box that came with the kit. Disconnect this i.e. unplug the connector from the black box. Wait a minute or two. Reconnect it. All other connections must be connected and the ignition should be on during this process. The RD4 should now recognise the aux source. You can test this by pressing the 'SRC' button. It should indicate that it is changed on the display.

Don't know how to use aux option in 08 s550 ME Benz

First, you should locate the aux button or touch screen display for the aux and press it. If it reads no aux available or something similar then your model has the button but not the aux input itself. If it reads not connected, look for the aux port (looks like a headphone jack) in the center console region. after plugging in your device, simply hit aux and enjoy!

When I connect my Sansa mp3 player to the single CD audio system (using the Hyundai usb connector), with the cd\aux on and cd selected, it switches to aux and the screen reads "CONNECTED" but I get no...

This sounds like you do not have full usb functionality and it is diverting to the aux input. when aux is used you have to control the play and sound etc from the actual mp3 player and not the audio controls

I cannot figure out how to change my aux settings to on. Nor the d-aux. any help? I am also unable to change the display color.

try this

Setting the AUX Mode (V-Link)
AUX IN ON / AUX IN OFF (Initial setting)
You can input TV/video sound by connecting an optional Ai-NET/
RCA Interface cable (KCA-121B) or Versatile Link Terminal (KCA-
410C) to this component.
You can change the AUX name display when AUX ON is set. Select
the AUX name by pressing g or f. Then press BAND.
If the KCA-410C is connected, it is possible to select two AUX
names.
• Via KCA-410C, up to 2 external devices with RCA output can be
connected. In this case, press SOURCE/POWER to select AUX
mode and then press BAND to select your desired device.

Wiring with a sattelite receiver and new Samsung TV

Nope RamaTheMan - you are incorrect! No way to get an actual surroundsound from your TV on this turd - this came straight from the Samsung FAQ -

"You cannot get surround sound from your television. On the other hand, if your television has audio output jacks you can connect your TV or Set Top Box to your Home Theater System and get stereo sound (that is, sound from the left and right speakers of your Home Theater System only).
To connect your TV or STB audio output jacks to your Home Theater System and get stereo sound, follow these steps:
  1. Turn off your TV and Home Theater System.
  2. Connect the Audio Out jacks on your TV to the External Audio Input jacks on the back of your Home Theater System. The External Audio Input connectors are typically labeled AUX IN. Note: There are usually two pairs of Audio Input jacks, AUX 1 and AUX 2. Each pair has a jack for the left audio input and the right audio input. Often, there are two Video AUX IN jacks as well. You can plug the audio cables into either audio AUX 1 or AUX 2. See the following diagram.
    auxin.jpg
  1. Turn on your TV and Home Theater System.
  2. Press the Function Button on the front panel of your Home Theater System until the display on your Home Theater System shows AUX 1 or AUX 2.
For advanced installation, if you are using a High Def STB, you can connect an OPTICAL connection from the STB to the HTS. This is a specified cable that must be purchased separately.
In either instance, you must then set the HTS to its auxiliary input. (i.e AUX 1, AUX 2, DIGITAL IN) in order to get the sound from the HTS.
Note: If your television does not have Audio Out jacks, you may be able to get stereo sound by attaching the Audio Out jacks on your VCR to either the AUX 1 or AUX 2 audio inputs on your Home Theater System. If you attach your VCR to AUX 1 or AUX 2, you will have to tune your television to channel 3 or 4, and then tune to the station you want to watch on your VCR."

Turn the ignition key to on or accessory position, turn the stereo off, then hold the function key for a couple seconds, the stereo will turn on and you scroll through the menu with the left and right arrow buttons and change settings with the up and down buttons
