I think your tryiong to charge NIMH batteries oon a charger designed for Lithium Ion batteries. With all the new style batteries such as NICAD, NIMH and LI-ION, charging becomes difficult. Most chargers pre NIMH and LI-ion, were designed for NICAD's. The best advise, match your batteries with the correct charger

Hi again, Because of the age of these batteries, this may or may not work but you have nothing to lose. The theory here is that over time, oxides built little bridges in a ni cad battery between the anode and cathode thus shorting the battery, shocking the battery burns those bridges and if the cells are still intact it will work again. So take your stronger battery or cables and being sure to observe the correct polarity touch or brush the positive to positive and negative to negative several times. The first times will spark and then as the bridges burn the spark will decrease. Put the battery in the charger and the charge light should come on. Leave the battery in the charger until it reaches a full charge. If after this procedure you still have the defective indication, then the cells were bad and you will still have to replace the battery. Good luck, please let me know how this works for you!

usually transistors have three legs, diodes have two arms all very confusing isn't it? resistors have two arms as well but not three legs or only two legs and no arms its all about arms and legs isn't it do not attempt this repair if you live at home

Replacement batteries for the Workforce 18V cordless drill are available @ 888-315-3080 for $15.00+
I currently have 2 on the way via UPS
Note: This drill is no longer marketed under the WorkForce name (and Home Depot won't help you) but is marketed under several other names including Hillman.
