Its saved by your web browser, which one are you using? IE, Firefox, Chrome or other?

You should find the option to clear or change the password in your browser settings, probably under privacy or security.

I have an e-mail and password but google keeps asking me to create an account when I put the info in it keeps telling me another user have these

Well this happens normally because of signing in into your account using different gadgets or platforms if i may say. For example, you could sign in using your tablet or your phone. At that moment, the Google servers will synchronize your data, passwords and any account information to your mobile device platform for easy access and retrieval of information. As part of the security measures put in place by Google, its servers will always notify you when someone tried or is trying to log in or sign in into your account using a different platform, for example a computer. Now in this case, Google servers are definitely trying to prove your authenticity. Follow the instruction on the screen and create another account if need be. Do not be alarmed because after this, you can as well synchronize your data from your old account into the new one...

How do I stop the automatic login when I go to gmail. I want it to require the user to enter the user name & password each time.

Pulled from Google's site:

Disabling automatic sign-in
If you're being automatically signed in to your Google Account, you may have enabled either a password-storing feature in your browser, or the Google Accounts option to "Stay signed in." Learn more about stored passwords in Google Chrome,Mozilla Firefox, and Windows Internet Explorer.
Check if the Google Accounts "Stay signed in" option is actually enabled. Visit the Google Accounts homepage and verify if the checkbox below the Sign In button is selected. If it's selected, delete your browser's cookies.
Each time you sign in to your Google Account, make sure the "Stay signed in" option isn't selected.
If the problem persists, you may want to clear your browser's cache and cookies. Please note that while deleting your cookies may resolve the problem, it will also remove your saved settings for sites you've previously visited.

This isn't a failing hard disk. All I want to do is change my old password for my gmail, to a new. My computer was fixed today. Please do not mess me up.

To change your Google Account password, go to the change your password page.
Or you can follow the steps listed below:
  1. Sign in to your Google account. If you've forgotten your password, type your username on the trouble signing in page to reset your password.
  2. Go to the Google Accounts security tab.
  3. In the Password box, click Change password.
Remember that changing your Google Account password changes it for all Google products you use, like Gmail and YouTube, so be sure to use your new password the next time you sign in.
I got this from the help which is accessed from clicking on the 'cogwheel' symbol near the top right of my gmail page. I assume that my google password is the same as that for my gmail

How do I change my gmail password?

Point your web browser at http://www.gmail.com

If another account comes up, sign out of it by clicking the avatar in the upper-right then clicking "Sign out." You can then sign in to another account.

Once you're in, click your avatar in the upper-right, click "Account," click "Security," then click "Change password."

Creating a strong password

To keep your account safe, here are a few tips on how to create a strong password:
  • Use a different password for each of your important accounts, like your email and online banking accounts. Choosing the same password for each of your online accounts is like using the same key to lock your home, car and office - if a criminal gains access to one, they can break in to all.
  • Use a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols in your password.
  • Try using a phrase that only you know. For example, "My friends Tom and Jasmine send me a funny email once a day" and then use numbers and letters to recreate it. "MfT&Jsmafe1ad" is a password with lots of variations.

I always appear online on GTalk even if I am not signed in. Please help.

A first step would be to check that you don't have any active sessions
on other computers (just a tip - remember to not have browsers save
your username and password information when you're using someone
else's computer or using a public computerThe next step
would be to change your password. Changing your password will (after a
bit of time) reset all active sessions so that your status should
properly show when you've actually signed in.
To change your password, please follow the steps below:
1. Sign in to Gmail.
2. Click 'Settings' at the top of any Gmail page, and click the
'Accounts' tab.
3. Click 'Google Account settings.'
4. In the new window, click 'Change password' under the 'Personal
Settings' option.
5. Enter your current password and your new password.
