Question about HP Computers & Internet
Hi, I have a Windows 7 Professional PC HP Compaq dc7700p X86 with a DVD Rom HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDRH10N ATA device, but no dvds are getting detected lately. There is a yellow exclamation mark on the above driver for DVD ROM in the Device Manager. Drivers are not getting updated online. Can't find the needed drivers online specifically. Help needed urgently.
There aren't really any drivers you can install to fix the problem. Most often this is caused by upper/lower filters in the registry.
Try this, but always backup your registry or at least make a restore point first.

Completely uninstall the dvd driver and delete the files. switch off and on and then let windows find it. or go to laptops wbsite and download drivers from the support n drivers section. also the registry edit above is worth checking..

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
