Are you sure you are using an unlocked phone? Or at least a sim from the provider the phone came with in the first place? Are you sure the provider of the sim, has coverage where you are trying to use it?

Its a metropcs phone, i lost the phone a while back but it was returned to me stripped of my 32g sd card and original sim. So i had to purchase a new micro SIM and reactivate phone. I call 611 and take phone in to headquarters but of course phone works at the metro store just not anywhere else really

I also tried to unlock the phone just incase but a message pops up says unlock unsuccessful phone is not personalized? ?? I dont understand! !=-O

  • Harrie Apr 14, 2015

Then I hope they did not remove any other parts, like the antenna for the G3 or G4 network. I don't have a manual on your phone, but did you try a hard reset on the phone after you did put in the sim?

  • Maria Ann Dickerson Apr 14, 2015

No i didnt try that, how do i do the hard reset? Also i want to say thank you for your time and help.

SOURCE: sim card not working sim works in other phone

The first thing you can do if you think there is aproblem with the phone settings is that :
Go into network setings of the phone and choose MANUAL in the Network selection. Then you can search for the Lebara network manually and select it, if it works.
Or if it doesnt work, then the phone probably might have been locked. Just check it once, using any other network simcards it your phone. If it is locked, you can easily get it unlocked in your local market.

alot of guys that sell "unlocked " phones sell a regular network-specific phone but they'll include a universal unlock wafer-thin sim that fits in your phone between your sim card and the phone contacts. Look in the box ..if you still got it look for a plastic sd card sized container and see if there's one with you phone... if not you can get one on ebay for about ten bucks..
let me know what happens... KEN

LGC395 phone says service unavailable when SIM card is in

the phone maybe locked to another carrier and is not registering the SIM on the network. Just because it is a GSM phone (SIM) card doesnt mean that it will work on any GSM phone. GSM carriers in USA are TMO, ATT and prepaid resellers.

Bought a note 3 online from overseas and my at and t sim card wont work says no service

I assume that you are talking about the samsung galaxy note 3 which use a micro-sim and support 2g, 3g and 4g network: if you are getting 'no service' it means that your note 3 cannot 'register' itself to the AT&T provider: try using this specific sim with another mobile from the same location and if it works then it is most likely a configuration issue with the note 3 (e.g. you must select the correct 2g or 3g or 4g network to connect).
If your sim does not work with another mobile phone, then the SIM is probably not activated and will not register/will have no service: call AT&T help desk to get the SIM/number activated.
ps. you can always take your Note 3 to an AT&T dealer and ask them to help you set your device for free (but ask first!).
Hope it helps.

I m using an operator's SIM for 3 years. Few days ago, i bought a another operator's SIM. But I can't use this SIM with my handset. It displays a roaming sign on the screen. When i make to this number it...

It seems that your new operator SIM card doesn't nave coverage at your area, that's why it's showing roaming because the SIM is using (registered) a host network, maybe if you make a manual search of the new SIM operator network, you could register it at its own network, if it's not found, you should report this issue to its customer service.
