Question about Golf
Here's my magic formula:
If there's spark at the plug, and fuel in the jug, it should run.
Check your spark plug, as in remove it, connect it to the wire, hold it against the head, and spin the motor over. Look for a hot blue spark. While you have the plug out, check for compression.
Check your fuel. Clean the carb, filter, and use fresh gas.
Odds are you should not be dealing with a timing problem so with any luck you'll be tearing up the track in no time.
