You have to try resetting the system. First turn the breaker off for the condenser and wait about 20 seconds. After you turn it back on the system should reset. If this doesn't fix your problem when you may want to call a professional.

The battery on my unit is dead. What could be the cause? Possible causes for a dead battery on battery operated units: 1. Battery has lost its ability to hold a charge
2. Charging system on unit has failed (battery cables, alternator, or alternator control board)
3. Stuck key on the display is causing a constant draw from the battery.

The ups wont work when its on battery or on electricity and nothing happens when i press the (on) button it remains off

These units, while hot swappable, will NOT start with dead batteries connected.

You will have to replace the batteries to confirm if the unit is still usable. Sealed Lead Acid Batteries do have a shelf life when a charge is not applied and will fail after several months of sitting around.

If your unit was working fine before it was put in storage, I definitely would consider just replacing the batteries. It is possible that the batteries are connected loosely, you can try opening the unit up to double check all the connections but if it has been sitting for more than a couple months, I would definitely consider the batteries dead.

I have a car jump starter unit that was left and went dead flat. Now it will not take a charge pluging in the charger?

Unfortunately, a Jump Starting Unit which no longer takes a charge usually means the internal batteries had gone bad. On some charging units, the replacement batteries are available through the manufacturer, but more times than not, it's less expensive to replace the Jump Starting Unit.
