SOURCE: the television keeps tripping from av1 channel to tv/dtv channel

Unplug av1 and see if it stays on dtv. If it does then plug the composite cables into av2. If it switches back to av2, you have a bad main board.

SOURCE: Vizio tv dropped a channel, won't rescan

Try with the remote to direct enter the channel number (with the number buttons and or enter) If set makes it there go into menu for option to manually add it to the set memory.

Not likely a problem with your set.

Your choices usually are cable with/without digital channels and Cable with / without digital channels. Once you choose which tuner the TV will use, then it will autoscan for channels.

Set up indoor antenna

Plug antenna cable directly into antenna input on tv. Place antenna where you believe you will get a signal (don't know where you live but you can look up site map for optimum direction). Go into tv menu set tv to air and auto scan air channels. Your set will receive and memorize available channels. In your sets menu you should have a strength meter. You can use this to tune in the strongest possible signal. You may have to go back and rescan the channels because if you improve the antennas position you might pick up more channels and they won't just come in automatically. Once you've scanned and received maximum number of channels there will be no need to rescan again. If you do you run the risk of losing some channels and only a rescan under optimum conditions with regards to antenna position and environmental conditions will gain those back. Keep in mind some fringe channels may come and go. Hope this helps.

I lost a few digital channels on an old LG LCD, tried to auto tune but could not retrieve. Followed a tip online that said to auto tune with the antenna cable which will wipe all saved channels, once...

hi your signal could be to strong, on the aerial cable the thin brad rap 4 strands around the center solid pin then retune in auto, if this does not work you may to manual tune it in, or get someone to check your aerial and you could try a firmware update on your tv hope it helps

Tv stuck one channel

Be sure tv is set to antenna and not cable . Do auto scan . Find this in setup menu. If this does not work check the mfc website for software update. replace the main board as last resort.

My toshiba tv only goes up to channel 12, when it reaches channel 12 it starts back at channel 1.

You will need to re-scan the channels, i don 't know where it is on the menu of this set. If you are on cable, you need to make sure your tv is set to cable tuning, or you cannot get channels past channel 13. Same is true for antenna if you are on antenna make sure you are set for this.

Cant change channels?

What is your antenna source? Cable or antenna? Try keying in a certain channel on your remote. see if you get that channel. Tv will not auto program if you do not have channel source coming in to antenna input.

My dtv keep saying nosignal antina hooked up .protron tv was working fine ran scan station. stop playing

dtv needs a strong signal to keep track of the channel. The antenna is good inside the room but tends to be affected for interferences. to catch signal (as in the past with ear rabbit antena) is difficult inside the room. and roof antenna is better but needs a good installation. the cable channels can work digital without the dtv. Is hard to give you any idea besides this ones because i don't know how the set up[ is in your case problem, but i hope i could help you a little. Now if the antenna is rasonable good and still having problems with your channels the suspect the dtv failure.

Cable setuo for model 27r410t

Get an antenna hooked up, even rabbit ears should pull in a few analog channels. Set top boxes will only output Ch 3 (switcheable to ch 4 on the back if needed) and cable may be dead or only give you scrambled CATV channels. You need to set your tuner to "antenna", not CATV, IRC,HRC, or ATSC (if you have a digital tuner) and do the setup again. You could have a bad tuner at worst, and all is not lost, just hook up a VCR via RCA cables and use the VCR tuner to change channels. Keep TV on Ch3.
