Question about Microsoft Office Standard for PC

ACDsee6.0 device detector

I am having trouble with my CD ROM and DVD. They are running fine but don't show on my monitor. I think the device detector isn't recognizing them. I have an icon for the device detector on my desktop toolbar that wasn't there before this problem. How can I check and see if this is the problem

I am not sure what you are talking about.
Are you saying you can't install your Office?

Need to fix office 2007 from compatability

Windows 7 Office 2007 Minimum Requirements b> Microsoft Office 2007 isn't the latest version of the Office suite, but it is still useful for a variety of tasks. The software package includes programs for editing spreadsheets, working with documents, creating presentations and more. Office 2007 also includes a redesigned user interface that is more intuitive than previous versions. Chances are good your computer can run Office 2007 if you already have Windows 7 installed, but you should check the system requirements anyway to ensure a trouble-free installation.

Processor and Memory Your computer needs a 500MHz or faster processor plus at the very least 256MB RAM. You may need more memory if you wish to run multiple Office applications simultaneously. The Business Contact Manager in some versions of Office requires a 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM. Turning on the grammar checker in Word requires 1 GB of RAM. Hard Drive and Optical Drive b> Make sure you have at least 1.5GB of available space on your hard disk to install Office 2007 standard and 2GB for other versions. You also need a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive for installation. Monitor b> Your display should have a 1024x768 resolution or higher. Older 800x600-resolution monitors are not compatible with Office 2007. 64-bit Compatibility and Windows Updates b> Note that you may run the 32-bit version of Office 2007 on 64-bit versions of Windows 7, but you cannot run Office 2007 64-bit on 32-bit editions of Windows 7. Make sure your copy of Windows 7 is up-to-date for best results. Microsoft releases fixes and other updates periodically that address stability issues and other known bugs. You can use Windows Update, on your "Start" menu, to check for updates.

Computer is not reading the installation disk

By installation Disk do you mean the CD/DVD-ROM? If yes

Check to see if the drive's LED flashes when the system is trying to boot. If it doesn't, open the system and make sure all the cables to the CD/DVD- ROM is properly connected and to the right slots. If the cables are properly connect and the CD/DVD- ROM is still not working replace the CD/DVD-ROM.

However, if its that the system could not install a particular program, make sure the installation files are complete and try again. If its a downloaded program, verify the completeness of the file downloaded and try reinstalling the program.

I have an acer netbook computer running with vista and 2 mg RAM. I am using a usb CD Rom drive to lload programs. When I try to insstall Office Enterprise 2007 (licensed for students and faculty) the disk...

Sorry, but that's not the case. Most DVD drives will read CD's, but most CD drives will not read DVDs, so unless yours specifically says it's a DVD drive, It's not going to work for you. HINT: the cost of a DVD drive is far less than the cost of Office software.

Unable to install card studio 2009 has dvd-rom instead of cd-rom

Well, you have a couple of choices:

1) You can have a DVD installed in your computer. Usually around $50.
2) You can purchase a flash drive (thumb drive) of at least 4GB. Depending on the size of the files, you may need an 8GB. You can have a friend copy the entire DVD onto the flash drive. Then you can take the flash drive and copy the entire DVD from the flash drive to your computer and install the program or install directly from the flash drive. (It may auto start when you insert it into a USB port.)

If you install it from the flash drive you will probably have to insert it every time you run the program. If you copy the DVD to your hard drive you will not have to and it will run faster.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Setup problem in ms office

Were you installing from the Cd/Dvd? if so your Cd rom can't read the contents of the Cd, try with another Cd rom, or you can use your friend's pc and see if it's possible there. If not, then it's difficult to get back the files. You need to get another copy of Ms office. visit this link for alternative solution
