This is a shorting out or a capacitor blown, what i mean when the capacitor builds up it charge and when the capacitor discharges it shorts across another circuit and shorts out the unit this may be the warm up or delay. depending how long you have had it,WARRANT IS WHAT i would check first, if no warrant is call tv repair man ask what cost to repair, troubleshoot, parts cost, labor per hour, see if it is cheaper to buy new one vs. old one

i think you'll find it would be cheaper to buy a new and better option lcd lead tv

SOURCE: Shaky/Unstable Picture

This is power supply issue, one or more of your filter capacitors either bursted and/Or over heats (this is why it becomes better when system cools down after turning it off for 1/2 hour..You have two choices.1. buy a replacement power supply may set you back a couple hundred dollars but it will be plug and play. 2nd you can replace these filter capacitors make sure the can handle 105 deg celsius not the 85 deg. celsius, if you know how to trace the bad ones and desolder and solder new ones on the power supply board, or hire a techinician to replace them for you. Good Luck...

Thats almost always caused by the surface mount capacitors which get weak on the hyper board. Hyper boards are going to be hard to find. But the capacitors can be replaced which will usually solve the issue. However it will require precise soldering skills to do the repair.

Shaky distorted picture first 5 minutes when tv turned on.

Those have a problem with the capacitors going bad in power supply. Yes, it's worth having checked out because a GOOD shop will be able to fix the problem and not have to change a board. Very common problem with these sets. Mine did the same thing until I fixed it. Just do your homework when finding a shop. Call around and talk to other people in the area to see who they use etc.. Good luck. Could be a very simple repair. Have it checked.

Picture won't come in clear until TV "warms up" for 15 minutes or more

Change the capacitors first per the instructions in the link below. Symptoms could be anything from high-pitched hum to no picture at all. On these defective models, I would start at the caps and work back. It won't hurt to replace them anyway.

Extremely loud fan...shaky picture

I would suggest to replace the fun to keep the light running cooler, the reason you loose the video after a period of time is because the fun is not providing enough cooling.
If the fun is noise it means the bearings inside of it are not working well anymore.
Let me know if you need more help.
