Do you know about computer controlled power windows ?
Power Windows Operation
The vehicle is equipped with power windows controlled by the door modules. Each passenger door window can be operated, either from a switch built into the driver door switch assembly (DDSA), or from a switch mounted locally to its associated door. The driver door window can be operated only from the driver door window switch built into the DDSA.
When a window is operated from the DDSA, the DDSA interprets the window switch signal as a specific window switch request and sends the information to the driver door module (DDM) via the power door serial data circuit. The DDM examines the request and checks to see if it has received any class 2 serial data messages from any of the other vehicle modules (i.e. ignition switch position) prohibiting the movement of the window. If the window being operated is the driver door window, and if no prohibitive class 2 messages have been received, the DDM then applies voltage and ground to the driver door window motor to move the window glass as requested. If the window being operated is a passenger door window, and no prohibitive class 2 messages have been received, the DDM sends the request, via the power door serial data circuit, to the appropriate passenger door module. The passenger door module then applies voltage and ground to the passenger door window motor to move the window glass as requested.
When a passenger door window is operated from the power window switch mounted locally to its associated door, the passenger door module first checks to see if the DDM has received any prohibitive class 2 serial data messages. If there are no prohibitive messages, the passenger door module powers the associated passenger door window motor.
Both front door windows have the express down feature. This allows the front door windows to be fully opened by momentarily pulling the appropriate window switch lever to the second detente and then releasing.

Where is the transfer case shift motor located on 2004 dodge dakota

The transmission control module and the transfer case control module are separate parts. The transmission control module is mounted under the hood and controls only transmission functions. The transfer case control module controls only the transfer case, and is located inside the truck. If you remove the trim panel under the steering column you will find the transfer case control module mounted just to the right of the opening.

The shift motor is located just behind the axle tube to prevent damage.
There is a shift motor on the right front axle that is vacuum operated.
The shift motor (1) is an electromechanical device consisting of a DC permanent magnet motor, a motor brake, a gear train and an analog position sensor. The shift motors' overall function is to move and lock a gear that moves the mode fork found in the transfer case. This allows the transfer case to be shifted electrically to multiple operating positions (4LOCK and AWD). The operating current of the shift motor under
stall conditions is 30 amps maximum at 72° F with 13.5 volts, at the motor leads.
OPERATION
Shifting in the transfer case occurs when the shift motor brake is released and a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) voltage is supplied to the shift motor by the Front Control Module (FCM). A linear analog position sensor located inside the shift motor, provides the FCM with the motors' angular, rotational position. With this information, the FCM
continuously knows the motors' position, and therefore allows it to accurately control the motors' operation, including voltage polarity which is used to control motor direction.

REMOVAL :---Note: New shift motor assemblies are shipped in the AWD position. If a new shift motor assembly must be installed, it will be necessary to shift the transfer case to the AWD position prior to motor installation.
Raise the vehicle on a suitable hoist.Remove the front propeller shaft. Disengage the wiring connectors from the shift motor and mode sensor.Remove the front output shaft companion flange from the transfer case.Remove the bolts (Remove the Shift Motor and Mode Sensor Assembly Bolts) holding the shift motor and mode sensor assembly onto the transfer case.Separate the shift motor and mode sensor assembly from the transfer case. no, different.

Principles of Operation
Note: Upon installation of a new driver door module (DDM), the module must be reconfigured. Refer to Section 418-01 . The DDM is connected on the standard corporate protocol (SCP) communication network. The DDM controls many functions including power windows, power door locks and remote keyless entry. The DDM also communicates with the driver seat module (DSM) to control the power mirror and seat memory functions.

The driver seat module (DSM) is connected on the standard corporate protocol (SCP) communication network. The DSM controls the driver power seat and communicates with the driver door module (DDM) to control the driver seat memory and both outside memory mirror functions.
---------------------------------------------------
Principles of Operation
The lighting control module (LCM) is a microprocessor based module that controls several vehicle subsystems. The LCM responds to electrical input signals from various switches, sensors, and external modules. The LCM is located under the LH side of the instrument panel. Subsystem functions of the LCM include headlamps with autolamps, turn signal lamps/hazard flasher lamps, cornering lamps, parking lamps, daytime running lamps (DRL), courtesy lamps, demand lamps, battery saver and control backlighting. The LCM interfaces with the driver door module (DDM) through the standard corporate protocol (SCP) communication network for the illuminated entry feature.
