USB cable is actually frozen in place. Try pulling lightly straight out of connection but not with such force as to break anything, Try not to wiggle connection but just pull straigt out. Rich

Grip the edge of the USB plug between the thumb and first finger of your hand. Slide your thumb and first finger all the way up to the casing of the laptop.

Squeeze your thumb and first finger tightly on the USB plug and as the muscles expand in your finger and thumb, it will apply a force to carefully remove the plug from the socket.

Make sure that the plug does not have a locking tab on it. Pressing the locking tab in can make it easier to remove the plug. The locking tab is likely to be on the top or bottom of the USB plug.

My toshiba satilite L305D-S5940 Wont charge has new battery new power cord It comes on acts like its going to work then shuts off and sometimes wont come on What could it be please

Hi there,
1st : you can check from the power cable charge
2nd : check the adaptor charger if there is a light indicator or not, or you can check with multimeter to check the voltage on charger adaptor, does show the proper voltage for your laptop, you can check at the end of the connection that leads to the laptop.
note : Remember use DC current at Multimeter
3rd : if the adaptor running well, just plug on the adaptor charger to the laptop, dont turn on the laptop power, just see the light indicator with battery / lightning image on laptop, its explained that there is or is not the power current running to the laptop.
3rd.A : if its no power goes to the laptop then your adaptor charger is failed
3rd.B : if is there, there must be a problem with your motherboard, section power / power plugs, why do not want to charge with a new battery.
Conclusion :
- if the problem on number 1 & 2, then you can change the power cord and the adaptor charger.
- if there is problem on the 3rd.B then you can go to the toshiba services center for your problem.

thats all, hope its help.

A technician download a microsoft word professional 2010 to my laptop but it is not authenticated and my daughter updated the windows, i cant open my microsoft word even my files on usb

You have to own the software. Without a Product Key, you cannot use it

You can use open office, which is free and does everything Microsoft Office does, but it's free! and fully compatible!

Download it here:

http://www.openoffice.org/

Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

Thanks, Joe

My toshiba laptop wont start

you could download windows off the internet. But with labtops you might have a hard time finding the drivers for it. Especially since you can't just open it up and figure out what kind of components it has. If it's really old you might be lucky and windows might have the drivers. Particularly windows vista. The newer the OS the more drivers it has.

1. Remove all USB devices such as printers, mp3 players etc etc.
2. Remove the power-cable and the battery
3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds
4. Put the power-cable back in but not the battery and none the USB devices.
5. Turn the computer on

Heyy

for hayzlbe: connect it to its AC charger when you're connecting to a computer. n make sure you have an USB 2 port

for Teeen: if you have an hard drive ipod, just give it a shake/shock on your palm. you might get lucky n it might start working again. cuz it worked for me once after i dropped it on the hard cement floor from 2 meters height.

You don't need to worry about it unless u start having issues with the battery backup or charging. Revert back if you having any issues till date.
