SOURCE: Part 2 -Flashing water light - will drain water but will not make coffee

Blinking light often means pump is not delivering water. Possible blockage from corrosion. Can also mean a valve blocked.
Do you hear the pump run?

light is for the heater temp switch goes off when its at temp if not going off it will be at full temp all the time and not adjustable, put in lowest setting and if light goes off move it up a few more. should reset the thermal switch.

Steam is escaping from underneath the iron, how to fix this?

Household irons can drip and spit out liquid water from the holes in the metal sole plate instead of producing steam if you have set the temperature too low. The obvious remedy is to increase the temperature, but this setting is not appropriate for all types of fabric. For example, the highest setting is generally recommended for removing wrinkles from cotton garments, and the lowest setting is generally safe for silk garments. Using the iron and its steam functions as the manufacturer intended can reduce or eliminate dripping. If that doesn't solve your problem, consider additional steam iron troubleshooting.

2 green flashes. hot water is blazing hot set at 120 degrees.have the energy smart unit model#ee2h50rd045v . what is wrong?

2 green flashes is 'High Water Temp.'
http://waterheatertimer.org/Whirlpool-Energy-Smart-electric.html

Typical energy smart manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Whirlpool-energy-smart-electric-manual.pdf

3 flashes is Temperature Sensor failure.
4 flashes is Upper element
5 flashes is Lower element

Troubleshoot section says:
1) Make sure access doors and insulation are installed.
2) Check elements for resistance of 5-25 ohms (if element has a short in center of element, it might not trip breaker)
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-test-water-heater-element.html
3) replace element and reset control system.
Buy ordinary 4500 Watt element from hardware store.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-replace-water-heater-element.html

4) I also suspect the self-diagnostic control box.
Manual says: Repair parts may be ordered through your plumber,
local distributor, home improvement center, or by calling
1-877-817-6750.
You need serial number, product number and model number from label on side of tank.

My iron will not stop flashing and will not go to green light -- it will not heat up

Hello :

Check the fuse first ! If the fuse is in good condition , then try this troubleshooting .

1: Make sure there's enough water in the tank if the iron won't steam. Fill the tank up .
2:Check that the iron is set to a steam setting. Some of the settings are dry and won't create steam.
3:Set the temperature dial to the shaded setting which represents steam. You'll see a little dark cloud-type icon with raindrops as opposed to a white cloud with a stripe through it. The dark cloud represents moisture (steam), and the white cloud with the stripe through it represents no steam.
4:Allow the iron to heat up for a while and to emit steam for a couple of minutes while pressing the extra-long burst button a few times. That should get rid of any impurities which can cause blockages. Try this if the iron hasn't been used for a while and steaming is intermittent.
5:Iron horizontally. Steam is only generated when the iron is horizontal.
6:Use the maximum steam setting when the iron is set to its maximum temperature setting.
7:Let the iron get to a high temperature before expecting steam. If the soleplate isn't hot enough, the water won't turn to steam and will in fact drip, spit or leak from the soleplate. Some Rowenta irons have an anti-drip system, which will turn off the steam when ironing at a low temperatures. Turn the temperature up, if needed.

Saeco Italia SUP021 YR green lights and red water light flashing

You can't manually reset. The machine will have to do it. I had the same problem, two green flashing lights with one red (water) all 3 would just keep flashing and not turn solid. No coffee can be made or hot water. I could not pump prime. The problem was the steam wand was blocked with old milk residue. It needs unblocking or you will never pump prime. I could not unscrew the steam wand...so I let it sink in a glass full of hot water for a few minutes and then turned the water knob counter clockwise to push out the softened residue. After that, everything was good. When water started flowing out of the steam wand, the red light turned off and the green lights turned solid. The obvious answer to why you can't pump prime is there is a blockage somewhere and best to start with the steam wand. --Mabada

Whirlpool energy smart water heater

Two flashes means that the high limit temperature has been reached. Once this happens, the temperature control system will shut off. Make sure that all element access doors are in place. Push the "Push to Reset" button to restart the temperature control system. The water heater will self test for ten minutes before it will start to heat. If you get the 2 flashes again then you may need to replace one or both elements. Each element should measure 5-25 ohms.

The "thermostat" is the knob marked "Temperature Control". Make sure that the operating mode is set to 1,2 or 3.

My husband threw away the opereating instructions for our iron.

SELF CLEANINGIt is important to “Self Clean” the iron at least every two weeksto remove scale, calcium, etc. The harder the water, the more often the iron should be self cleaned.1. Set the variable steam control dial to any steam position.2. Fill the water tank up to the “MAX” level.3. Stand the iron on its heel. Plug the iron into the electrical outlet.4.Press the electronic temperature control button until you get the “MAX” temperature setting on the display panel and wait until the iron heats up and temperature setting light stops flashing.5. Turn the variable steam control dial all the way to the right to the self-cleaning position and hold the iron horizontally over the sink (Fig. 8).6. Boiling water and steam will now be ejected from the holes in the soleplate. The impurities and scale are washed away with it. 7. Move the iron back and forth as this happens.8. If there is any water left in the water tank after the iron stops steaming, just empty the remaining water in a sink following the instructions for emptying the iron. 9.Turn the variable steam control dial to the “0” position when the water tank is empty.10.Place the iron back upright on its heel to cool down before storing.
