Machine will not power on

Possible failure of the main control board , remove the power and trace power to the control panel, if power is present then it is failure of the board, if not check the power cord, plug or inlet.

1 long beep 2 short beeps

Hello Hardyjosef,
Below is the beep code chart for the mini 10 systems.
No POST
If the system does not perform a Power-On Self-Test, there are various things to look for:
1.Check that the system has a power light.
2.If the system has no power light, ensure it is plugged into AC power. Remove the battery.
3.If the system has power but is not performing a POST, Check for one of the following Beep code errors.
Beep Code Description Failure Coverage
1 BIOS ROM checksum in progress or failure. BIOS Chip Motherboard Failure or ROM Error
2 No RAM Detected No Memory Detected
3 Chipset Error (North and South Bridge Chipset, DMA/IMR/Timer Error for Intel platform); Chipset Error Motherboard Failure
Time-Of-Day Clock test failure.
Gate A20 Failure
Super I/O Chip Failure
Keyboard Controller Test Failure
4 RAM Read/Write Failure Memory Failure
5 RTC Power Fail. COMS Battery Failure
6 Video BIOS Test Failure Video Card Failure
7 CPU Cache test failure CPU Failure
8 LCD LCD Failure
4.With the power off and the system unplugged, remove all CRUs from the system and reconnect the AC adapter to the system and try again.
Try reseatting the memory to see if that will resolve the issue. If not, the motherboard may be bad and will need to be replaced. If you need another motherboard you can call the Dell Spare Parts Department at 1-877-717-3355 to purchase one.
Thank You,

Possible failure of the power supply section. You need to remove the SMPS section and check if there is a short or failure in the drivers. Please check this link for tips:

Dell e310 won't start after power failure ,orange

First up, don't buy a Dell again unless you like old **** with horrible support.

On Topic

- Did you pull out the keyboard and try another USB port (if it is an USB keyboard), or try another keyboard.
- If that doesn't work try clearing the CMOS (remove power plug, power on (to empty capasitors), either remove the CMOS battery and power on, or find a jumper to reset the CMOS. (since this is a Dell a that might not exist but check the manual).

When i went to bed, i turned the Daewoo TV off. Then when i tried to turn it on in the morning there was no power. No lights come on but the fuse is fine.

A total failure can be a result of a power failure in the TV. so to check the main power which is a SMPS unit - switch mode power supply- remove plug, remove the poser section and check;
check for tips on the link below;

My Acer 5630, suddenly cannot turn on. I already replace DC power adapter by a new one, but the problem still exist. Anybody can help me.

If you have already changed the charger, and tried running it without the battery, it sounds like you have a Mother Board failure. You should contact Acer and have it replaced.

The power turns on but it doesn't do anythigng else

It can be due to many factor

1.RAM not decting by Mainboard.
remove the RAM & clean it's legs with a white paper and place it again & try.

2.SMPS failure
Your power supply is not able to give the requirement of the PC due to mal-functioning.Replace the power supply & check.

3. BIOS failure

Reset the PC BiOS to default setting by removing the CMOS battery.Check it again.

4.Motherboard failure

Motherboard may have failed due to power spurge or spike.
Remove your processor & RAM and place it on another motherboard and check if processor & RAM are working or not.If they are working then it's motherboard fault.
replace the motherboard.
