It sounds like the main circulation water pump bearings are damaged.

What would cause corroded holes in the base of a kitchen faucet? The faucet has only been installed about three years. Have used only Barkeepers Friend to clean. I think it was a Moen.

Hard water is the most likely cause. They really shorten the life of taps washers shower units dishwashers etc.just ended up installing a water softener unit in France due to this reason.if you do opt for a water softener unit remember that you can still run a cold water supply into the kitchen from pipe before the unit.its that or get used to replacing everything after two to three years.

My diswasher has all brown scum on the inside. how can I clean this and what can I do to prevent it?

you can manually scrub it with barkeepers friend and a small brush then run it (If it is rust)
or you can buy a bottle of jet dry dishwasher cleaner, I prefer to use the barkeepers friend
since I can reclean certain areas and it is less expensive. Also make sure that if you have
a disposal that it is working properly since the dishwasher drains through it. Hope this helps.

My Samsung dishwasher model # DMR77LHS makes this terrible grinding noise when it is initially turned on & then 2-3 more times through the cleaning process.

Mine make a grinding noise also when the wash cycle starts. I had a repair guy over fixing my fridge and he said it was the washer motor. My machine has only been in use for 1-2 yrs. Other owners say that the tabs on the top rack break off and get lodged in the machine. hope this helps a little.

When washer is started make loud grinding noise

Very likely the bearings in the motor have begun to fail. You can replace the motor, but for a 15 year old DW, sometimes it makes better sense to just buy a new one. Depends on the features the old DW has, vs new, vs motor replacement cost.

Reply back and we can you more.

Load grinding noise, like the engine is working too hard.

Most likely the motor/pump assembly is worn out and grinding. If the machine is less than five years old it is under warranty. If over five years old, the repair part alone is about $150 not including labor.

My stainless skillet sticks

All-Clad actually says (http://www.all-clad.com/collections/Stainless-Steel/CareAndUse/) that it's okay to put it through the dishwasher, though I've never put mine in there. So, you probably haven't ruined it. I'd recommend a good-cleaning with regular soap, followed by a "scouring" with Barkeeper's Friend. Barkeeper's Friend is available at any department store, including Wal-Mart, for about $2. It comes in a cannister like Comet and is gold in color. Do NOT use Comet, just Barkeeper's Friend which is oxalic acid. Wet the skillet first, then put some Barkeeper's Friend on a damp sponge - plain or with a blue non-scratch scrubber - and scrub in circles.
