Canon ip4300 power supply

My Canon Pixma ip4300 did suddenly not turn on. Seems like it died in it's bed in the middle of the night.(!) Measurements on power-outputs are not anywhere near the specs on the outside of the supply casing, so I am now about to open it by force. As you probably can see I'm now near to the moment of declaring this CANON-device officialy dead. Only hope ( on behalfe of CANON) that it was lightening that struck it. Please, anyone, BEFORE the sledgehammer and the burial ceremony and my trip to buy a printer from an other producer. My Canon Pixma ip4300 did suddenly not turn on.
