Windows xp is not opening

I tis hard to determine why Windows XP is not loading with such few text, infact it is hard to determine wheather or not it is indeed loading but not leting you log on etc etc. I would greatly appreciate it if you could post more information if this solutiopn does not work. Restart your computer and press the delete F1 or F10 key to enter bios. If your bios is delayed look on the screen for which key to press to enter setup. Then go to the exti tab and select load BIOS defaults. Then save changes and exit. Try to restart comp. If this doesnt work, go into bios again and view system, info, make sure your hard drive appears. If it doesnt the open up ur comp and make sure all the cables are solidly connected to the hard drive [a small silver box below the CD from and Floppy drives.] Please get back to me.
