SOURCE: Intex salt water chlorinator I added a higher flow

your pump has nothing to do with chlorine generation.
You need to get a salt test kit that reads in #'s not colors.
Now get your salt to 3000ppm or as close to it as you can.
The amount of salt reccomended in the manual is just a starting point
any lower than 2800 and you will not produce enough sanitizer and over 3600 and your pool can go cloudy, taste bad, and rust metal parts

SOURCE: I have a pentair superflo

Could be the motor has packed up. Or, more likely, perhaps the contacts or coil in the timer have failed. That is a big motor, and a lot of current is going thru the timer contacts. Can you apply voltage directly to the motor? Do you have an AC voltmeter to check the power from the timer with?

Intex saltwater pump - runs for 3 minutes and shuts off with service light coming on.

It's overheating internally. Overload switch is either doing its job: tripping out when motor overheats, or the overload switch is faulty and has failed.
On either situation = New Pump
Why ? You ? Ask?
Because Intex Sells NO parts for their components!
They want you to buy a whole new unit.
They are not made with quality in mind. Greatly mass produced in China, and unleashed on the world by the Gazillions.

Just purchased and installed Intex salt water system. It shows low flow and now, after 5 days of installment, the water is completely green (expecting Swam Thing to come out!) I need your guidance to...

Seems like you may not have the pump and the salt chlorinator in sync... If your water is dark green and not a big pool, you may want to drain and refill, if you have a large pool, you may want to shock and then try the following...
1.Make sure you have added the correct amount of salt...
2.Set your timer for your pump for 12 hrs.
3.Wait 15 minutes and then turn on your intex salt water system..
4.Set you hrs of operation on your salt water system for 10 to 11 hrs...
5.After running the system for 3 days, check your chlorine level..

If water clears and chlorine level is high, adjust the time.. You will have to re-sync the pump and chlorinator.. If the pump turns off before the chlorinator finishes it's cycle, you will get a "LOW FLOW" alarm..
I hope this helps and good luck.. Please rate and comment on the information provided.

When i turn on the chlorinator its comes on and then turns the power off to the whole unit

Please dragon, Be careful. If the chlorinator is not wired to the unit correctly you could ven have a
flash!! 1. Shut off the circuit breaker located on the house. Ir's located in
metal rectangular panel. Probably next to the elect meter.
2 Now that the power is off check the wiring where the chlor attaches to the pump.
The wires should be color coded. Black & red are always the hot leads, white & green are
neutral leads, Let me know........dansky66

Chlorine generator not working(brand new)

Super shock your pool ... take it to around 20 ppm CL using liquid or powdered CL. Brush your pool daily for several days ... run your filter at least 16 hours a day ... 24/7 would be better. Maintain 5 ppm CL and brush weekly after you get the algae under control.

I am not impressed at all with these salt water chlorinators.Shock the water and keep the filter running next day add a powdered chlorine.filter still running. check the balance with test strip in about four hours. If chlorine level is good start vacuming the algee off the bottom of the pool. Now throw away the salt generator and stay with the chlorine packs every week to two weeks continue to monitor with test strips
