Question about Maytag Dishwashers
Could there be some type of switch or sensor that went bad and is preventing water from spraying into the dishwasher? Thanks for your help.
If you open the door to the very right at the base of the tub you will see a float device. The float is a safety device which will shut off your water in case there ever is a overflow situation. Sometimes objects can get under the float and shut the signal off that is sent to your inlet valve. Lift the float up and down and see if you hear a click sound... you should hear a click.
If you hear a click then that may not be your problem. You can potentially have a bad door lock as well.
In both cases you will not hear any sounds from the dishwasher it will just seem dead. If you hear a humming then you possibly have a bad inlet valve.( Or somehow the water is shut off )
