Washer will not drain:

Thedrain water pumpis the main part in your washing machine that pumps out the water. If this is defective or has failed in any way, this will be the reason why your washer will not drain the water. Before you order a new drain pump, make sure tocheck the pump to be sure a small object like clothing or similar has not lodged itself insideof it causing the NO DRAIN issue. If the drain pump is not clogged, you can test it with a multimeter and remove and replace if needed. Go to Google or YouTube and search for "Replace Washing Machine Drain Pump" then type your brand and model number of washer to show you details on replacement.

The washing machinedrain hoseis where the water flows through to get the water out.If this drain hose is blocked, kinked, bent, or clogged, the washer will NOT be able to remove the waterfrom the tub. Check the drain hose to be sure it allows the water to flow freely. You can take the drain hose off and run water through it in your sink to be sure it is not blocked. If there is water STILL in the washer when you remove the drain hose, grab a bucket as the water will exit from where you disconnected it Thewater pump belt(to drain out the water) may have broke or become frayed or loose. If this belt breaks then it is unable to drain and remove the water from your washer. Inspect the belt to see if this is causing theNO DRAINissue and remove and replace if needed. Go to Google or YouTube and search for "

If thelid switchis not working as required it will cause your washer to not drain (and many other problems). This may be unlikely as a bad lid switch will usually cause your washer to alsonot agitate or spin. However on some models this can vary. The best thing to do if you have a suspected bad lid switch is to test it. It can fail electrically and or mechanically. If mechanical failure is the issue, you should be able to see if it is cracked, broken, or not in place to make contact with the lid. To test it electrically, use a multimeter set on Ohms and test it for continuity

Washer has code nd wont drain and signals long beeps ,replaced pump and have the same problem hoses drained and didnt see any obstructions, old pump looks ok,matt

you probably used too much detergent or the wrong type. These new front loaders take no-suds detergent, a shot glass half full worth. The suds get in the water level tube and the level sensor and everywhere else, and cause mayhem. Run some loads with no detergent at all to try to clean the suds out. If the thing works like it should sometimes, it's a cheap fix. The brain power to find a problem and fix it for good, not so cheap. Water Level Switch 25315479-zejmo41uy3tce5x43qikgza0-5-0.jpg

Standing water in the bottom and a bad oder

First make sure your drain trap is not clogged, but if water is not moving out at all, then..

its a problem with the pump on the dishwasher(most probable) , or it can be a clogged drain hole.

If its a new expensive fancy computer model it could be the brains, but look above for the most likely cause.

Some dishwashers are easy to to basic fixes, pumps, motors, drains being plugged, others I would not touch..

Water in floorboard front and back

My 2002 Bonneville had water problems soaking carpet and trunk area. I had it to the dealer twice, it was to expensive to go back a third time. I found 3 of the four drain tube disconnected midway down the roof piller posts. Probably from when the mechanic used air pressure to dislodge the plug. The front two were very challenging to get at to push the drain tubes back onto the connector. Why would they put the drain tube connection at such a poor location for repair is beyond me. The good news is no more water leaks since the drain tubes were reconnected.

I have a slight water leak from the small bleed hole behind the bottom drain screw on the water pump. I lose about 500ml every ride. Can you please tell me what is causing this and if it can be fixed...

You need a new water pump seal. It is fairly easy to fix and the parts are not expensive. Repair it before you cook your motor - that is an expensive, complicated repair.

What's wrong with my front loader washer.. it will drain the water but will not spin ... what do i do?

This could be a couple of problems. The less expensive is the door switch. Then it could be the MCU, or motor controller unit. That is very expensive. If this helps, please rate my answer. Thank you. If it doesn't help, we will take it further and try and get you fixed up.

Rinse cycle of our Danby Portable washing machine

Find the drain solenoid valve and see if it is stuck open. It should be near the drain outlet. Measure the power at the drain solenoid. It should be 0 volts when the washer is filling. If there is power there (AC voltage), then there is something wrong with the control board, this is unlikely. I suspect the solenoid valve has seized in the open position. Manually advance the wash cycle to drain or spin. The solenoid should click when it opens. If it buzzes, then it is seized. The best thing is to watch and listen as you advance the cycle and see if you can verify what the valve on the solenoid is actually doing. I suspect you may want to replace this solenoid.

Hotpoint Ultima Fridge/Freezer keeps leaking underneath

yes this is probably the source of the problem - the defrost water doesn't flow down the drain.

melt the blockage with hot water till you get free flow down the drain - takes a bit of patience

Bosch dishwasher

Good news is, this is unlikely to be expensive.

Need to sort out where it's coming from first.

Find a stopvalve you can use to shut off the water supply to the machine - there's probably one where the dishwasher is connected to the domestic plumbing. If turning this off stops the water coming in, you probably need a new inlet valve. The ones on dishwashers are generally pretty cheap to replace.

If shutting the water off doesn't stop the inflow, then the only place it can be coming from is siphoning back in from the drain. There's supposed to be either an air gap or an anti-siphon valve where the dishwasher's drain hose goes into the domestic drain. If this gets blocked/stuck, then it can cause dirty water to siphon back into the machine. Check and clear as necessary, then run the machine through on the hottest, longest cycle it's got (in the expectation that not all the water that was sucked in from the drain necessarily started out in the dishwasher).

Kenmore top load (model # 110 82370120) drain problem

Good AM. I see here that you have a fairly old belt drive Kenmore washer. The real problem with these is that the parts for them are so very expensive anymore to get. A timer (which you may be needing) will run you around $100.00 to $175.00 depending on where you live. Very expensive repairs on these, but if you want to go for it, here are some hints to help. Sounds like you have one of three problems. First off PLEASE UNPLUG YOUR MACHINE BEFORE WORKING ON IT. Your timer may have lost or has a stuck contact inside (unrepairable in most cases) which is making it do something is shouldnt be doing in that area of the timer. This would probably be the most expensive of your repair. The next thing is it could be the water level switch could be going bad. This one is highly doubtful since it fills and stops filling, but I have heard (but never have seen) that they can short out sometimes and cause wacky operation. Both these issues can be fixed by remove the console rear panel and front knobs to remove both. The next item could be a defective wig-wag in the bottom of the unit. One of the positioning solinoids maybe going bad and sending bad signals back to the timer.

None of these problems are really hard to fix. And truthfully (even though some of these guys will be mad) you can sometimes find these parts on ebay for a halfway good price. Part numbers for each are:

Timer: 381860
Water Level Switch: 359712
Wig-Wag: 89814

Good luck with this one, and if you know how to use one, try to run resistance with an ohm-meter on your wig-wag to be sure your getting power flow through the soilnoids (you will have 2, be sure to unplug the solinoids before testing to be sure its a true test) before replacing.
